I think if you have dryer skin or live in a dryer climate the Finger Print Sensor has more issues. I have not had any issues with any of the Samsung devices since they started in screen FPS.
Oh poor Mrs DeeMy other half threatened to leave me if I buy any more phones. I'm gonna miss her.
I'm sure a lot of Note 20 owners would happily trade with you but I agree about the curved screen. I never liked it. It doesn't belong in the Note line. Notes are all business powerhouses not pretty show ponies.I literally hate everything about the ultras and blacks body. I wanted matte. But it's.glass. Also I hate curved displays. I should of gotten the normal note 20. :/
I have had my Note 20 Ultra for maybe 3 weeks now. Although it seems to be a good phone, it's really not that much better than my Note 8 was. I have honestly considered returning the Ultra and just using my 8 for another year. One issue I have is that face recognition just refuses to work. Nothing, zero, nada. I have retaken the photo several times. I have done the alternate photo too. I tried turning it off, rebooting the phone, then turning it back on again. It never works. I also find the finger scanner to be very finicky. It seems like I have to type in my password about a third of the time.
Lastly, I have had some issues where if the phone loses 4G reception, it takes for ever to regain it, even if in an area with known reception. For instance, I go into my man cave (which has metal siding walls on the outside) and I can lose all 4G receptivity. When I walked back out with my Note 8, it immediately picked the cell signal back up. In some instances with the Ultra, it has taken 15 or more minutes for the phone to realize that 4G is available again and connect.
As for positives, pictures and videos look better. I like that I can directly connect a USB microphone and make good sounding videos. There is also way more storage on the Ultra than on my old 8. Speed is a little faster, but nothing that really makes a difference for anything that I do on a normal basis (I'm not a gamer).
I am really hoping that the newest Android update will solve some of this.
You android-fan boys can say whatever you want, but I have both an iphone 11 pro max and a Note 20 Ultra and the battery comparisons aren't even fair as my iphone can achieve about TWO TIMES the SOT of the Note's. I run adaptive 120 hz and automatic brightness on my Note and achieve about 5 hours of SOT per day. The iphone? About 9-9.5 hours. Again, it isn't even close and yes, the iphone is slightly smaller and can't run 120hz, but come on! For a $1300 phone and the fact that the Note was ALWAYS hailed by Samsung as their powerhouse/power user device, they obviously skimped on the battery this year for the sake of keeping the phone slim and/or because of the camera bump. The S20 Ultra has a bigger and better battery than the Note's. When has that ever happened before. Again, for a $1300 phone?! Who buys a $1300 phone and doesn't want to rock it out w all of its best features: screen size/brightness; 120hz; media consumption; etc. Which power user is going to accept 5 hours of SOT? They're not and is why the Note's battery is getting slammed by youtube and other tech reviewers. Again, $1300.
NO ONE can doubt how well apple is able to harmonize and optimize its hardware along w ios--they control all of it. If anyone is going to set the bar for battery life on a large device running 120hz, let's see how the iphone 13 pro max or whatever they will call it (yes, a year away) does.
Wow, if I had to go back that far after using the Note 20U it feel like a 2011 phone to me .I have had my Note 20 Ultra for maybe 3 weeks now.
