I popped into my local CPW and they had a note 8 black which was there shop phone, the same as I've ordered and had a play with it

I did the same, a couple of times last weekend (in different shops) and I loved it, sized it up against a note 3/4 and its slightly slimmer and a bit taller but fits in the hand just nicely, but I'm going to refrain from seeing anymore, it's just torture lol

Can't wait to get it, was hoping CPW will send them earlier. If they go into the store earlier I'll just get one from them and get a refund on the pre-order one.

Seems some of our American cousins have them in transit already. As it d labour day weekend, they might be delivering some of them tomorrow.

Ordered mine from O2 but I've got the same status too. Oh well at least we got a 15th launch date. Usually Samsung's phones are released in Korea and the US first and then we get them a few weeks later. However usually if you pre-order you get it earlier.

I really wanted to explore this option and combine it with a sim only deal from ee, however I'm unsure what I would do for insurance? I usually get it through EE

I use my banks offering. £75 excess.
Plenty of companies offering it these days. A few pounds a month is the going rate. EE just farm it out anyway.

I got my phone from CPW and insurance with them. I think it's one of the best insurances around

While we wait anxiously for our new shiney notes, a quick question.

For those ordering direct from Samsung, will you be flashing your relevant carrier Fw to enable advanced features eg Volte or voWifi?

I see the carrier Fw is already up on sammobile ( no idea how before release)

I plan on it straight away to enable VoLTE on EE.
I did on my S8 on day 1.
On my S8 voWifi worked out the box on BTU Fw.

Yeah. Did it 5 minutes after I opened the box.
Volte now working fine.
Downloaded the fw last night as it takes 4hrs or so as a free account.

The EVR fw also got the update that BTU straight away.

I can upload it somewhere if you are struggling.
