Ultra compared to Note 9 size?

Looked great. I have the Ocean blue Note 9 but I have a black case on it lol. I actually prefer black for my electronics. Have the black galaxy buds and black band on my galaxy watch. It definitely seemed like a fingerprint magnet though. Going to throw a nice clear case on the Ultra.

Got any cases you prefer for clear?

I went to BB today to check them out and pre-ordered the gray ultra. The size was more comfortable than my note 10+ in hand. I guess I'm getting used to the larger phones and prefer them now. The trade in for my note made it worthwhile to upgrade.

I hear this every time a huge phone comes out... "it's not as big as I thought." Not even 1 month in, and many that got it are already tired of the size. It's literally the biggest Samsung flagship ever. Just be aware of that. If you do go with the Ultra, I hope it's everything you ever wanted and you enjoy it immensely (no pun intended).

And I always hear the opposite. "It's just too damn big". Um... It's a Samsung phone called "Ultra", it's expected that this will be massive. And yet, I thought it was very manageable for such a large size.

I think people want the Ultra features in the S20 base or plus model. Maybe they just couldn't cramp it all in.

I like the ESR tampered class back case

I just got esr tempered glass case for s20+. It doesnt look tempered at all. More like a plastic, it suspect it will get scratchy as my last one i had for s10+, diferent brand.
Tried on demo s20+. Feels much larger in hand than my s 10 plus in other similar case..

They have been in the past....there may be a layer of rigid plastic on the inside for strength. I'll take a look at the one for the Ultra as soon as I can

It's actually ever so slightly narrower and not as thick as the note 10 plus

I just played with one at the T-Mobile on Michigan ave in Chicago. Wow, it's awesome. Huge, but awesome. Video literally goes edge to edge zoomed in YouTube. The sound was very impressive too.

Finally got my hands on an Ultra at the T-Mobile store, and just as the actual dimensions show, that thing is absolutely massive for a phone. Phones have gotten so massive that the aesthetics and full-time one-hand usability of regular-sized models has become an actual feature in 2020.

But feels bigger in the hand because it actually is bigger. Considerably so. The Note10+ is a good bit thinner than the S20 Ultra, and it's easy to tell not just by the actual dimensions, but when you wrap your hand around the two phones.

I walked out of Best Buy thinking the S20+ was the best size.

The S20+ is about the same dimensions as my Note 8 and at the time I said that was the limit for me on big phones and still is. I didn’t say it was the perfect size... but the max that I could accept.

I guess Samsung thinks, “we’ll just up it a mm every year and people will say it’s only a mm and adjust as long as we give them an overwhelming phone.” We’ll so far im not that overwhelmed by what I saw. Will have to wait for more reviews and probably wait and now more patient to see what the Note 20 will bring.

I walked away from BB thinking and walking away thinking just too bad they couldn’t stuff the 10x in the 20+

That's actually hitting the nail on the head.

The camera internals require a bigger shell and while they were at they bumped up the battery. The Ultra is basically Beast Mode.

Seems like the S20 and S20 Plus are the most comfortable sizes for most. Well, really for all... those getting the Ultra are simply willing to put up with the massive size, not getting it because it's easy to handle.

The S20 Plus feels almost identical in the hand to the S10 Plus. It's even ever so slightly smaller, which is a good thing.

I have an S10 and an S10 Plus, and I'm ok with both though I prefer the smaller form-factor. And though I'm no giant, I'm 6'1" with proportionate hands.

Ultra has a bigger bottom bezel than the S20 and S20+. I would say that for design, the S20+ is the best looking galaxy phone. It has slim bezels and a nicer camera cutout.

I'm finally getting rid of my Note 9,which I still love, it has been a great phone! I have pre ordered the Ultra and was feeling a little concerned about the size so I went to BB yesterday to check it out... I love the size of it and it didn't really feel much larger then my Note to me at all.

Except the S20 has a noticeably slimmer camera housing than the S20 Plus.
