Ultra compared to Note 9 size?

I'm finally getting rid of my Note 9,which I still love, it has been a great phone! I have pre ordered the Ultra and was feeling a little concerned about the size so I went to BB yesterday to check it out... I love the size of it and it didn't really feel much larger then my Note to me at all.

Yeah, the Note9 was previously the most gargantuan Samsung flagship ever (bigger than even the Note10+ and S10 5G), so you won't notice much difference.

The Ultra with a case on it will feel like a surfboard...
What I like though is that it is hinting at a seriously good Note in a few months time :-)

....and the Note will be even bigger unless they trim the battery to make room for the Spen

For me, it felt unwieldy with how big it is. The Note 9 really maxed size out for me. And after going with the Note 10 (not +), I really prefer that size. But hey, it's all personal preference.

Tried it out and prefer the N10+. The display width is noticeably thinner and the extra height seems wasted. IMO, bad design.

Hopefully the N20+ is not stretched.

I got to play with an actual plus and dummy ultra yesterday. Size was not as off-putting as you think due to it being quite narrow, it did feel a little unwieldy though.

I left a little underwhelmed though, the taller aspect ratio feels a little Sony Xperia to me, I’m not a fan.

Why do people think the Note 20 will be any smaller? If anything, most likely it will be bigger (I've never had a Note, I'm going by comparisons).

We've never had an ultra/third size of the S series, so there is no point for comparison.

Edit: Apologies that I clearly had a brain fart.

I don't expect it to be any smaller... if anything it has always been a tad larger than the Plus model each year but I believe it's smaller than the S10 5G.

I hope they don't make it bigger than the Ultra. If they do even a mm that just exceeds my personal preference on how big a phone I want to carry.

I was going to speculate it will be an Ultra sized phone with 500 mah smaller battery but I also heard rumors the Note will retain the waterfall display curving off the edges... even more more so than last gen from some sketches... so we'll see. I like the S20 where they went with a flatter screen and hope they do that with the Note 20.

I hope if they do go big, then hope they offer the smaller Note like they did with the 10 BUT... don't kill the specs. Do what Apple does and offer the Pro in two sizes with basically no cheapening of specs and features except in battery size where it's unavoidable.

It's most likely impossible to make it smaller without losing some of the Ultra camera feature like the larger sensor.

Seems that way eh?? If it helped, I'd forego the 100x zoom and as long as they stuffed in the 10x optical, I think it's still the better setup. 30x digital.

I don't think the 100X is the issue, it's the optical zoom and sensor that would most likely suffer.

Hmm... Well fingers crossed (for me) they don't go over Ultra size and no waterfall wrap around display.

Reminded time anc time again... No such thing as a perfect phone.

I spent a good amount of time with a demo unit in-store at Best Buy the other day and compared it side-by-side with my Note 10 plus. It is a little taller but it is also a little bit narrower and it felt great in hand was easy to maneuver I think it'll work out very well
