Unable to send images using WHATSAPP

I am having trouble sending images(Camera and GALLERY) using WHATSAPP on HTC one.
It sits there for a while with the clock spinning and does nothing . Confirmed no images received on the other end

What's app is rubbish, I use kik which is without doubt the best

That happens often with whatsapp, are you on wifi or data?
I usually just delete that msg and resend it.

well i found one solution for this it works for me let's see will it work for you

go in setting open application manager and open whatsapp info clear cache and clear data and force stop it make sure to bakup your data other wise chat history will vanish

I think it was just a server side problem with the services. It didn't work on 3G/4G or Wi-Fi through the afternoon/night but on Wi-Fi I could send a few images a couple of hours ago. I talked to some friends with other Android phones and they had this problem as well so it's wasn't related to the One.
