unbricking issue... hopefully just a win7 issue..

I started uninstalling apps around 7 this morning. Then starting reinstalling the sprint apps that we saved on TB. Tried to flash a few of the ICS upgrade zips. they would produce a assert fail code 7. Then I tried to factory restore, that would bring the phone to PP. not sure how I removed PP, but after the factory restore, I have the just an LG screen, and the button choices. Currently the unbricking method does not seem to be working. I dont know if the flashtool should be on upgrade or board? and com1 does not give me a separate options menu. I have plgged and unplugged, In device manager I see, the phone on com41 connect and disconnect when I unplug the usb.

phone should be com41, when you open flashtool it should be on upgrade, make sure you have the dll and tot selected up top make sure you check only port1 in the settings and then plug in the phone in download mode ( it will say download mode on the screen ) - push the arrow button in the top left of the screen. if it doesnt start just unplug and replug it in and it should start...

I'm also having unbricking issues with win7. flashtool works, but it stops at 98%. I wasn't sure if it completely worked the first time so I did it again, and suddenly everything was chinese. So I'm trying it one more time, and i'm wondering, when the phone reboots, do I need to manually put it back in download mode? Or is it ok if flashtool stops at 98%? I'm just confused.

EDIT: I guess I fell asleep last night while I was unbricking, and accidentally changed the language. hahaha. But what does VERNO mean? it just stops at 98%, says Port Open and VERNO a few times, but the phone seems like it's all back to normal. Is it alright to unplug it even though it's 98%? I'm just asking because the guy who wrote the unbrick instructions said "please wait for it to get to 100%."...

Hey, I've redone mine twice and it stopped at 98% both times and I've had no issues. I'm guessing verno is some sort of verification step. I'd say you're good.

the phone is fine. when it boots up everything is back too factory. verno is just other thing saying its ready too do the next phone
