Viewsonic, G Tab, ICS...getting "Unfortunately, Exchange Services has stopped" error message constantly. Have re installed ROM and also shut down all syncing. Still there. Really hideously annoying.

Any ideas?

I am facing the same problem after last night i installed an upgrade of ICE CREAM SANDWICH on my samsung galaxy note. This is terrible, I can't work anything on my phone.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 E4GT.
I just received this message after using Titanium Backup to restore all my apps + data from
previous Gingerbread stock 2.3.6. I flashed to AOKP yesterday and only had 1 issue but was not related to how the phone functions.
I rebooted my phone and started receiving the error message "Unfortunately, Exchange Services has stopped. - Unfortunately, Email has stopped working"
Any idea on how to fix this error? It seems when my backup installed the old email data
this happened. I may try to revert back and install without email data.
One forum stated to wipe email data, how do you do that?
Thanks!

I found where to wipe data in Titanium Backup. I cleared for email and browser. They are starting from scratch now. I will have to setup the email account again. Thats fine, as long as I dont get the error. Who knows what other programs have the same issue. I might as well start from scratch.

This, too, is incessantly happening to me and it is driving me mad!!!! I have taken it to my Verizon store and my techie guys at work to try and help me and all I get are blank stares. Verizon says it a Microsoft issue and the guys at work says it must be the new phone (because I've had my work e-mail on my other phone for over a year now and this never happened). I just bought the RAZR MAXX about a month ago and it has done this since day one. I really need my work e-mail to be on my phone because it has all my contacts, phone numbers and e-mail addresses. Is there a fix for this?????? PLEASE, I AM BEGGING NOW!!!!

I found that by going into "Manage Apps" > "All" > "Email" > "Clear Data" worked for me.
Hope this helps.

Update; Moto X experiencing "Unfortunately, Exchange Services has Stopped" Error Message;
About to receive 3rd Moto X replacement from Verizon, per "approval" from Motorola. "Tech Level 3" rep at Motorola let me know on the "QT", that Google and Motorola software engineers have struggled and cannot find a solution but the official statement is "it's coming". In the meantime, it's Groundhog Day every five to six weeks: Get a new Moto X, the error starts to appear infrequently after several weeks, then ramps up within several days to appear every four to six key strokes, not allowing use of open app, regardless the app being used until hitting "ok" juuuust right, so not to mess up where you are in the app. regardless whether using...e mail, phone, text, search, everything!
Verizon will not take responsibility, pushes issue to Motorola who will not approve different Droid (e.g. offered to accept a DroidMAXX/other replacement). Verizon attempted numerous times to get me to use my wife's earned upgrade credits or "take advantage" of their monthly payment plan to secure a different phone?!!! Translated...they want me to pay for changing out this dysfunctional, non-working PDA, I'm a long term, $220+/month, multiple device customer! Neither Verizon customer service or tech reps or the Motorola Tech Reps can/will move out of their "corp speak/responses" and see the absurdity of what their asking me to do vs. taking care of the customer. Or, the issue is so potentially big, they can't afford to admit they don't have a fix and a recall would harm the Moto X brand. Is there a solution out there to this insanity?!

i tried the "manage apps" procedure but did not work.
i am still getting the same message. I have no problem receiving the emails.
at this point, i cannot send or forward my emails.

This is my problem - it just started 10/14 for me. Why is this happening all of a sudden - can't send or receive emails?!

But what do you lose when you "clear data"? What data? My email messages? Hell no. My contancts? Not again! Some kind of useless temporary data? Sure, I'm all over it!

I have the same problem with my Motorola G - double Sim card. For over two weeks, this strange message "Unfortunately, Exchange services has stopped" keeps coming. It comes almost every 3 secs and I cannot operate my phone properly as it interrupts my usage and is really annoying. The phone is only about 5 months old.
Can someone please help me out?

Michael

I had the same problem. I accessed both email accounts on my computer and deleted all the old emails. The problem has been solved now. It seems if you only access mail on a smart phone or tablet then mail builds up causing this problem.

my acer iconia model a1-830 version 4.4.2 displays the above. how do I fix this? I do not know to which app the exchange services belongs.
