My son recently had his Samsung Galaxy Mega phone unlocked by an unlocking company so I would be able to use the phone on straight talk. I called to order a card for it today and (not knowing) made a comment about the screen saying Metro PCS as it was booting up. They said it does not qualify for the byop (Bring your own phone) program therefore would not even explain why this is. I was already told my another rep at straight talk a week ago that all I needed to do was purchase the card.
How can I tell if the phone is actually unlocked? The sim card is a micro and my others are the regular size so I am unable to insert another one to check? If Im missing something here please tell me as I am about to pull my hair out lol Thank you for any help I can get.
