Sorry if this is in here already but I got through 20 pages of scrolling and hadn't seen it yet. I've been curious about unrevoked for a while now but haven't installed it because I'm new to android and didn't know what i was doing. Anyway, I decided to give it a try tonight, so per a suggestion, I went to
unrevoked on my Evo and hit the download button. (Was that even the right way to do it?) Anyway, When it finished downloading, I used the Android package installer to install it. I opened the app and clicked Start. A message appeared below that saying done. After that, I restarted my phone, just to see if it would in fact default back to being turned off, as I read that you need to run it after every reboot.
Here's the trouble. The phone was going through it's normal boot sequence. The white HTC Evo 4G screen, then the Sprint screen which transitions to the yellow 4G screen. Then it just stays there. The phone will not advance past that screen. It stays on it for a minute or 2 then goes back to the Sprint screen, and restarts the boot process from there. That repeats itself until I get too tired of hearing that sound, and take the battery out. I've tried removing the SD card, removing the battery, it just will not boot past the 4G screen. Is my phone screwed? Has anyone had this happen to them, or know a method of fixing this without having to take it to Sprint. I have many sentimental pictures on there that I can not afford to lose.
Please Help! I'd be willing to paypal someone $10 bucks if they know how to restore it back to normal without losing my pics.
Thanks.
