Updating Cyanogenmod Failed so flashed EXACT stock firmware and now WiFi Won't Work

I was trying to update Cyanogenmod and it just woudn't update.

Needless to say I 'soft-bricked' my Samsung Galaxy S4 so I went and grabbed stock firmware for SGH-I337M (Canada Virginmobile), got from *#1234# the AP (and CP) of I337MVLUAMDJ and CSC I337MOYAAAMDJ, baseband is I337MVLUAMDJ version is 4.2.2 .... I know none of this is relevant i'm just trying to demonstrate that i've acquired every single piece of information I could possible find to make sure I got the correct stock firmware (cuz it was hard to find Virginmobile CSC one other then one site that would take 18 hours to download if im lucky) ...

Anyway's, it flashes fine, phone works fine ... except one epic and completely unacceptable problem lol.

I can't enable wifi no matter what I do. tapping the widget it just doesn't change, settings dragging the toggle button it doesnt stay to the right and turn green just flips right back to the left instantly and when I tap the wifi box and try and move the toggle thing it just says "Turning On" and uh never does.

I'm so pissed I dunno what's left to do. I'm about to *#272*<IMEI># to change the damned CSC and try flashing different carrier stock firmware's that's how out of options I am.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions before I try something as silly as I admit that probably is? I just don't get why I can't turn WiFi on but I can easily download stuff using mobile network. I have a very limited data plan (100mb) so I cant be using mobile networks I gotta use WiFi for everything on my phone.

Probably not related (though perhap's excludes it being hardware related) turning on bluetooth works fine.

i got no idea, anyone have anything, even a link to the correct stock firmware for the CSC I listed I would be grateful for any and all help please please please lol !

Thanks nobody for your help.

Much to my surprise the Goldeneye Rom claimed that it would enable WiFi, data, etc. and I really was shaking when I clicked the model as i9505 as the instructions dictated even though mine is I337 but my god ... it worked, I can connect to my WiFi network again and do everything just like it's supposed to.

I have NO idea if this is a good rom or not but hell it made WiFi work, if no other rom will do that i'll f'ing live with whatever shortcoming this one may have.

107 views though and no one had the heart to try and help me? Great forum you've got here, don't help people in a panic whove given you ample details and displayed that they've tried everything and searched everything they could. Very impressed *head in hands*, sigh.

With a attitude like that you may be waiting for an answer for awhile.
Reword your question and do another forum search.

You decide to read the 'attitude' and not the 'HELL IT MADE WiFI WORK', as in it fixed that problem.

Granted goldeneye and even the stock firmware run so crap that everything lags until it crashes, dialer, google play, everything. Can make a call but not hear anything on either end, phone won't play any media or any sounds (including ringer), so i'm still screwed.

Pardon me for being really upset and worried that I just ruined a $650 phone and 127 people read my thread that I made sure to include as much detail as I possibly could and not one of them replied with anything until you decided to evaluate my attitude.

Now I gotta come up with $650 ... somehow, and try and buy a new cheap phone ... and try and remember who any of my contacts were cuz they're all gone google did not back them up, see why i'm a bit pissed? If not well i'm sorry but I just want some help and tonnes of people opened the thread, no one replied, kinda frustrating and upsetting ok.
