updating note 3 running straight talk

i have an unlocked at&t note 3 i'm using with straight talk. how do i go about updating android? current version is 4.4.4. i've tried update device from settings...no help. thanks for your time.

You can connect to Kies or the easiest thing, if you are close to a Best Buy, go there. They have a Samsung counter in Best Buy and they will update your phone for free.

i've tried with latest version of kies...it doesn't give me the option of updating android. best buy sounds like a good idea though.

If it isn't on Kies, Best Buy may not have it. What carrier is the phone?

kies says i have the latest (4.4.4) i've seen most everyone else is at least 5.0. its an unlocked at&t note 3

Well AT&T hasn't been good about getting updates back to Samsung, but you can try BB. Also if there is an AT&T Device Center near you, they might update it for you. 611 can tell you I'd there is one close if you don't know. The last option I know of if those don't work, buy a prepaid AT&T SIM, out $5 on it. It will cost you $15 for the SIM unless an AT&T manager decides to give it to you, and then connect to WiFi and check for an update. The SIM card has to be active.

Oh.. If you know someone on AT&T, pop their SIM card in your phone and check for an update.
