upgrade from old lg dare to droid bionic and keep unlimited data?

my original plan all along was to finally upgrade my ancient lg dare to a droid bionic and keep my unlimited data plan.

would that be possible? I was under the impression around 7/7 that i would be able to keep my unlimited data from a 3g to a 4g upgrade as long as i already had the unlimited data.. now upon further research i am seeing that i may lose the unlimited data plan because my phone (lg dare) is not considered a smart phone

i have seen some posts on here where certain members are able to get around things and ultimately get what they want, is there any hope for my situation? thanks guys

i buy a cheap droid off craigslist and activate it on verizons site or with *228 (skipping the process of talking to a verizon rep) and possibly keep my unlimited data??

If you already have a smartphone with an unlimited data plan you will be able to keep it when upgrading devices. Get ready for unlimited data on the super fast LTE network. Enjoy!

bye verizon!!

already noticed the difference between verizon and sprints customer service. i did not want to spend hours on a phone discussing my matter so i searched verizons website to chat with someone. i ended up having to post in their forums in hopes of being noticed by a verizon rep. all the while i checked out sprint and was contacted by a rep by chat and he asked me if i had any questions. i asked and he reaffirmed me if i buy an htc evo 3d i would be in the 30 day exchange period and would be able to get the samsung gs2 epic 4g touch

Yes, Sprint's return policy is much, much better than Verizon's. And that is IT. I had Verizon for about 7 years, I worked for them for a year, and after I left them I decided to try Sprint... worst mistake I have made. They have okay phones (I got the Nexus S 4g) but their customer care is horrible (it is all outsourced where as Verizon still has them in the US, you can't understand what most of Sprint's care workers are saying), the coverage is junk, and if you have ever used Verizon's LTE 4G then trying to use Sprint's WiMax 4G is a laugh. It is really, really, really bad. Save yourself the hassle of returning the Sprint stuff and just stick with Verizon, get a 2gb data plan, and only watch porn when you are home on WiFi and you'll be fine.

You get to keep your unlimited plan if it's a smartphone plan.
