I just upgraded to 4.2.1 on a non-rooted device and was checking what all the new features that was now introduced in this version and noticed that ASUS added a Parental Lock app. I'm okay with this, except the fact that I can't uninstall this or Force Stop it, so it's another app that runs in the background I don't need or won't be using.

Anyone happen to know how to remove it or stop it from running short of being Rooted?

Rooting the TF700 has become very easy thanks to the Motochopper tool. It works perfectly for the TF700.

Rooting does not have any consequences regarding warranty, is reversible and allows you to use the Titanium Backup app to freeze apps or processes you do not want or use. They will still take up space on your SD card though.
As with anything build into the system you should proceed cautiously. Freeze one app at a time and check if freezing it had unintended consequences. If it did, just unfreeze it again.
Do not freeze system processes (anything starting with "com.xxx" ) unless you know what you are doing.

How does the Parental Lock help my personal usage of my tablet? What problems can I have because it is running on my tablet?
Will it affect how the software I install on my tablet executes?

Thanks,
Norm

If you don't implement it, it's just dead weight...
It's an option - only runs if you want it to.
