I wonder if this could allow you to cancel the contract. Since they are changing the terms of your contract.

They are taking the position that it doesn't because it is not in the terms of the agreement with the customer.I wonder if this could allow you to cancel the contract. Since they are changing the terms of your contract.
Write your congressperson! If VZW is going to require people to keep the same phone for two years, they should be required by law to repair any hardware problems that arise (even from misuse) and issue timely maintenance for OS upgrades.

I remember when Sprint did this. They also let some people (me included) to do a one-time upgrade before the 24 month upgrade time frame. Hopefully Verizon does the same for you guys![]()
LOL...I've long known where to go and get a laugh if I'm feeling down...the local Verizon Store. they're not feigning ignorance, that's genuine.
Actually I've noticed that at all of the carrier stores the sales reps and even the managers are left out of the loop. So it is quite possible that this happened and verizon failed to inform their lower end employees. It happens all the time with Sprint. They have such big companies, that lack of communication is bound to happen somewhere.

Not sure how to make sense of this, but today got an email from VZW offering me an upgrade for three specific phones "because of my loyalty." When I logged to my account, the earliest discounted upgrade date is this July. My HTC Rezound was originally purchased in November '11.
