I thought I read that they changed the antenna placement. Perhaps that’s to improve RF reception? Maybe they’re taking a lesson from the pixel 6 line?

No the p7 modems are different modems than the p6 series

P6p had the Shannon A5123 5G modem,
P7p has the Exynos 5300g as far as I have read.

Ok, cool, well I’m certainly not going to get too concerned until I see for myself.

Just be warned according to Reddit the P7 still has the same issues as the P6. Poor modem and abysmal signal quality. Also gets very hot especially when using the camera.

Preordered via google store P7P 256gb Obsidian. It’s my first android device since the note 10 I’ve been an apple user since currently have iPhone 12 Pro max and I can’t wait to be able to have freedom to make my phone my own. I think I’m going to miss my Apple Watch more then the phone itself. Im torn to use the pre order credit on the pixel watch or something else and grabbing a galaxy watch 4 classic or 5 pro.

He said his buddy at the Google store let him pop in his sim and try it out for a bit while he was setting up the display. Said no service while in the store while his Samsung had a great signal. Stepped outside the door for a second and was able to get a bar. We'll see. I don't trust the professional reviews. They mostly gave the P6 great reviews.

Can anyone confirm the Verizon upgrade deal? As I read it, it's $700 period (not 'up to') with trade in...and the trade in list includes some oldies and is not condition dependent? Ie: $700 for my LG V30 with chipped (but functional) screen? That seems like an obvious call, if so.

Well I'm in ... kinda, I pre ordered the 7 but the phone isn't for me. My daughter's Pixel 3 is way overdue for an upgrade. So I figured instead of letting my 6 Pro sit in a drawer, waste away, and continue to depreciate I'd take advantage of the Best Buy trade-in value for it. Once I played on BB's site and saw trading in my 128GB 6 Pro for the Pixel 7 128GB is basically a wash (once you take the BB credit into account) it seemed like a no brainier!

I just hope she's OK with the size difference ... she loves smaller phones. But I've been readying her for a while now telling her small phones are going the way of the dodo. Heck, if she doesn't have to charge it 3 times a day I'm sure that'll offset the size difference LOL

IDK ... Still really enjoying the S22 Ultra and there's nothing really "wowing" me with the Pixel 7s ... BUT, like I said earlier, never say never

I also thought that by now - 4 days after ordering - that we would see some tracking numbers going out by now! If they are going to arrive by Thursday, or Friday, as the web site states then I would think that they need to ship today the 10th!
