It's clearly fake. As soon as google starts shipping it a lot of people on the forums will be posting that they have tracking numbers simultaneously. They aren't updating one person's tracking information per hour...

Eh, it's a valid tracking number, and he has a UPS account. That e-mail came directly from UPS, not Google. Not saying it's legit, only that it could be.

I just received this from UPS My Choice. Looks like it'll be here tomorrow. Google initially charged my credit card, but it fell off a few days ago. No recharge.

nope. Go to UPS.com and type in the tracking number.

Or just go to google.com and search for the tracking number it will bring you right to the page you need lol.

Tracking number is valid, it won't show an origin city until it is scanned at the facililty. The UPS account number it is shipping under is 7f382v. If any UPS employees are on this board they can look it up and see who it is. It shows shipping today with a delivery of Friday but it is clearly a 2-day tracking number, so it should show Monday delivery..... odd.

Since its shipping from the airhub in L'ville, perhaps it'll all be overnight service.

I just talked to a googler who told me straight up stuff is starting tmrw, but they can't tell you exactly when yours will ship. He said, "tmrw, Monday or Tuesday you'll get an email."

I agree, but this guy actually had a reason (excuse) for that: Apparently he is signed up to recieve notifications from UPS (Plus Tracking) of when a package is to be delivered. So this was not a Google notification; it was a UPS one.... Not defending the guy, but just a thought.

I have text messages set up from UPS as well, and I haven't gotten everything. I'm sure other people in these forums have it set up too. It's too weird if it's just one person.

I canceled with Google and preordered my Nexus 7 16GB at GameStop and only put $50 down and they deduct that from the original price so You'll get it tomorrow, at the earliest around the same price as the 8GB. Preorder now there are only one or two left in each store. I think today is the last day.
