US release date could be July 12th!

This is just like I'm waiting for my baby to be born and I've been in labor since I pre-ordered. Google is the doctor and they just need to hurry up and deliver cause the pain is unbearable. 
What about waiting for that darn Palm Treo 300 (yes the 300, not the very cool 600). I think that was the first device I waited and waited for it to be released. As time goes by, I have waited out releases less and less (not totally however). Call it apathy, called it "too much other stuff always to do". But this has been fun. I dont think my N7 will be that huge of an upgrade over my Galaxy Tab 7 for me. Sure the hardware and OS will be better, but I dont think my use case will change that much. So I suspect after a week or less, it will just be another device I do stuff on. It will be more fun to see who in my family or friends I pass down my old tablet too.
I have been lurking here for a few days now. Ordered my N7 and went looking for info. I ran across this forum and have been checking it daily. Sadly, I don't have any shipping info to add. Just hoping to receive my N7 soon.
just spoke with a rep at my local Gamestop. They have the Nexus 7 in store already, and she said if your on the first wave, you'll be able to pick up on Thursday the 12th!!! I pre-ordered early, so she verified in the system for me and it shows 7/12. If your on 2nd wave, the date is 8/7. Cant wait to get this bad boy!!!

lol, you'll have to take my word on it. but, you can always call gamestop and they will probably tell you the same thing. she said she wasnt supposed to tell me they had them already in store, but she is super excited about the tablet and wanted me to know.

Good info. If true, I just wished I would've ordered from GameStop. There is one literally 2 blocks away from my house. GRRRR.

Not gonna lie... If this gamestop thing is true, then I'll be kind of pissed. Shipping from the play store takes two days, and it's already the 10th so Google play orders may get their tablets AFTER the gamestop ones??

Gotcha.... sometime hard to tell. People seem a bit edgy over all this. I dont get it. If some get it before others the complaining is really going to start.
I feel the same way.... we can't do much but just wait and see how it plays out. Some people here ordered in late June and still haven't received notification of shipment. I ordered mine on July 2nd from the Play Store.... we'll see.
Last time I order from Google, it was a GNex, and it was promised 2 day when I ordered it, but it came in one day. The GNex was fulfilled by UPS from their Louisville air hub, and I fully expect the N7 to do the same. That means it could ship tonight or tomorrow and still arrive on 7/12. dont think I would worry.

Well, what I take away from this (if the Gamestop rumor be true), is that they dont allow pickup until Thursday (the 12th).
To me, that says that the first wave will likely ship out today in order to reach pre-order customers by the 12th.... Well, at least that is what would make sense,... IF it is true....

He told me if I preorder now I would DEFINITELY get it on the 12th of this month. I don't want to cancel my play preorder, so I just said no.
