They aren't taking pre-orders anymore, probably because it's gonna be in stores sometime this weekend/monday. Also probably because they got their quota of nexus's and can't promise anymore

I pre-ordered from Gamestop and was told I was on the 2nd wave due 8/7, but if the N7s are available in stores this weekend or Monday I would hope I would get my N7 before that date.

$150. I will include a nice case I picked up for it as well. It's one of the fold over magnet leather ones. I have only had it a couple months. Used it probably for 15 hours.

I messed with the fire for a day. Not a bad device.... but lack of google integration made mine go back. I didnt want to have to buy the same apps I already purchased thru the play store. I did see that the Gal Tab 7 plus I eventually bought is having ICS finally rolled out.

Yeah, not bad, but it sucks knowing you're running Android but not full-blown Android on the Kindle Fire. There is a way to get Play Store and other apps like Dropbox but I'd rather just have the beautiful and real Android N7.

I agree. I actually really like my 7" Galaxy Tab.

Anyone think Google could be planning a major same-day announcement? Not giving up a release date allows the rumors mills to create one (which we successfully did - July 12).

Maybe that is the date, maybe not.

Google could announce tomorrow morning that it is coming out tomorrow. We could then all receive charges to our cards and tracking numbers simultaneously. All of our packages could be "on vehicle for delivery" after Google gives the green light.

Do you know what I am saying'? (it's 2012.. logistics should be capable of this by now)

I pre-ordered on the 7th from Google Play, then Staples said that any orders placed on THEIR site before the 10th would be shipped on the 12th-17th. If an order at Staples on the 10th will be shipped on the 12th, I'd hope and order from Google Play on the 7th would ship on the 12th as well. But, that's just me being logical, and these types of things don't typically play out that way, especially if Google has a last-minute delay for some reason.

I order a crap load of stuff with Amazon prime and most of it comes from the Ups hub in Kentucky. The latest that I've ever gotten a tracking number from them was around 6pm and i still received the item next day. So i would guess if we don't see tracking by late afternoon, they probably won't ship today

No, please explain it in more detail.

It's true. Google isn't shipping from there...We've heard from numerous sources that it's already in the shipping hubs or making it's way there, and the shipping hubs are local ones. Google could technically provide a tracking number tonight at midnight (or later) and it get here tomorrow. The local hubs are always generally really close to any location (within 3 hours) which gives the tabelt ample time to go from one place to another before the trucks leave for delivery at 6am
