US release date could be July 12th!

I keep saying I'm just going to close this tab and check the forum until later tonight. But every attempt has failed thus far. Everything else remains unchanged, pending charges disappeared, nothing in recent activity but charges are subtracted from my available credit.

Court injunction from CRApple in 5..4...3...

If there is a delay regarding licensing issues, it probably has something to do with Nokia. At least that's what I'm gleaning from articles I've read... though I've never really followed a product launch this closely so I could be way off base.

What about the n7 cases? I ordered mine with a case and on the product page it still says coming soon. Would it be safe to assume that the tablets won't ship until the cases become available since google wouldn't want to pay shipping on them separately?

Say this on another site.
"The rep told me he received an email this morning saying that Google had pushed the street release of 7/12 to a later date. At this point, Gamestop is unable to provide a release date. The tablet is not even listed on the website anymore. "

I would assume it'd be the Nokia Wifi patent issue that was brought up last week. I'm not sure if it was settled or not yet.

Valued Staples customer,

Thank you for selecting a Google Nexus tablet during our pre-sale campaign. As this is a pre-sale, the order number assigned when you pre-ordered (Staples order number above) will not provide valid tracking information and at some point will show a status of cancelled when tracked on Staples.com. We want to assure you we have reserved your Nexus and it will ship between July 12th and July 17th with a transit time of 1 - 3 business days. You will receive your order number that can be tracked when the product ships and your credit card will be charged at that time.

So...If Gamestop is saying this and there is indeed a license issue, then what about Staples? I am haven't heard any uproar (yet) from anyone ordering from Staples and they are supposed to be shipping tomorrow. Right? According to their site, they are sold out.

I just received this from staples.

Google's a bit opaque about their shipping times on the Wallet website but I just got an update from them over the phone. I'm traveling out of the country for a month starting next week Wednesday, so I really needed an update.

I placed my order on the first day, and the CS rep said that Google will start shipping at the end of the week via UPS. The shipping notification e-mails should be sent out over the next 2-4 days.

I was unable to change the shipping address. My only resolution would be canceling and reordering once I got back if it doesn't get here in time.

Am I the only one who is curious as to why Google has not said a damn thing or made a statement since these rumors started? By the looks of it, this appears to be the most anticipated release of a tech product in quite some time. I would think that something would have been said or addressed by now...
