I know my Gamestop has my tablet and I was supposed to be Wave 2. Only 2 pre-orders at the store, and I guess they got both tablets. Now it's just the waiting game. Which hopefully ends very soon.

My question is, if their shipping it in waves, why does the "ships in 1-2 weeks" keep going down as the days go on? If they were shipping one wave on, let's say, the 15th, and the next wave, on August 1st, wouldn't they change the "ships in 1-2 weeks" date when they started selling the 2nd and 3rd waves? Anyone get what I'm trying to ask?

Just wondering because everyone is claiming to have spoken to reps who say they're like weeks apart! So I was a little confused!

The funniest thing is that the reps are saying different dates from each other. There's no way the phone reps know themselves when it's shipping...

Just to fan the flames a little more - I spoke to Google customer service earlier today. No date given, but he said they were in pre-ship assigning tracking numbers, and an email with that info would be going out shortly.

I'll believe it when I see it - or in other words, don't enumerate your poultry prior to extrication from the shell.

"Guys, Just contacted Support for Google Play, I ordered my Nexus 7 on the 6th and she said I would most likely be part of the 2nd wave, and the 2nd wave would only be the difference of a day or 2. She said delivery date would be July 27th - Aug 1st, 2nd Wave Aug 1st to 7th.
She said they are trying to get everything together so that it can be shipped all out at once, but don't have enough trucks all at once."

Hmmm I talked to a rep today as well asking him about this and why my pending charge disappeared. He wouldn't tell me the date or anything about the n7 being released in waves. What he did say though was that I was no longer able to cancel my order as the order was being processed and really stressed to me that it is very very very soon to be released. So either that rep is lying, the guy who posted it could be lying or the rep I talked to is lying. Google for the love of God just say something already!!!!!!

Defiant81 Thats nearly almost the exact same thing the rep I spoke to at Google said 5 minutes agnly he said it would ship tomorrow and we would be getting tracking numbers tomorrow as well. That would put it getting it either by friday or monday/tuesday at the latest..

Oh no.... just lots of people stating that they "heard this" and "google reps said this" etc.

From what I have been able to read (between all the garbage), there seems to be a mild consensus that some people have heard from Google CS that tracking numbers are being assigned this evening and we should get an email tonight... we will just have to wait and see if thats true... Still wishful thinking until we get those emails!
