Just got off the phone with google...gave them my order number and the csr told me that I should be receiving my nexus 7 next tues or wed... I ordered on the 28th, and now I'm extremely pissed off

Which, if true, would work good for me. I ordered on the 29th, but I'll be out of town until Wednesday, and will be home to receive it when it ships.

I was hoping that it would've arrived before I had to leave town, so I could use it on the trip. But, better that it not sit on the porch until I return home...

Note that what I posted is an e-mail from UPS My Choice. They e-mail you anytime a new package shows up with your address. I have not received anything from Google yet, either. My tracking number isn't resulting in anything on the UPS website yet.

Edit: Scratch that- its showing up on UPS. Delivery tomorrow, 1.70 lbs. Label created today.

Listen to my post. I have a number to a reliable Gamestop in GA. so call for more info. 678-583-5974. Ask to speak to Jeremy. Don't make it to long of a conversation or he'll find out I squeeled and I might not get a job there. So be carefull when you call. Just say you found out from a reliable source. Tonight is the last preorder date.

Even though Google hasn't sent anyone a tracking number, the UPS MyChoice tracking notice email means that Google has allotted you a tracking number FOR WHEN they ship your device. In other words, they are getting orders ready and prepped to be shipped. I wouldn't be surprised if they actually shipped tomorrow.

I have the free version of UPS MyChoice and I haven't received any email, but at the same time it might be something exclusive to paid users. So for all I know, they have allotted me a tracking number and are getting my order ready but I just don't know it because UPS doesn't want to let me know.

If it's here by Wednesday, I'm happy. I just need it before the weekend. Tuesday would be best though so I can convince a friend coming into town to try it.

The reason people might be getting UPS My Choice notifications before Google notifications is this. Google provides UPS Logistics with a list (probably HUGE) of orders to release in order of purchase. UPS Logistics then procedes to process these orders and UPS Logistics is tied into the UPS My Choice mainframe, when an order and shipping label is generated an email automatically goes out. At end of day, UPS Logistics will provide Google a list of orders they processed so they can bill customers and send out notifications. The 2 notification systems are independent of each other.

So just got off the phone with google. They told me it should be ship in a few day ,but they suggest me to check my email often because I may get my tracking number very soon.

This seem like the same stuff they have been saying for days however it seems more legit.
