I have finally received my Nexus 7 8 gb unit. I pre-ordered on June 29th at 3p. So far I am amazed how fast the device is and I love the facial recognition screen unlock
Well, I'm heading out. Hopefully I get some sort of indication about my order by tomorrow.

Ordered on July 6, 9:20AM Pacific, 16GB, no case.
Still nothing. No email, credit charge/hold, play store update or wallet update. Nothing.

Just got my cc charge as well, 6/27 order 16gb w/case, no other emails or shipping notifications though. I registered the one that I picked up from Staples yesterday with my wife's account to be on the safe side, but I have been using it with my kindle/amazon account until mine comes in. 
I case you didn't see this over at xda...

Below are more specific details by country. If the below information is not true for you, please reach out to our support team so we can investigate.
In the US: We’ve shipped all standalone Nexus 7 8GB orders (e.g., those without a case, charger or Nexus Q). By the end of day on July 19 (PDT), we will have shipped all standalone Nexus 7 16GB orders placed through July 11 (PDT), and upgraded these orders to overnight shipping. We will process the remaining standalone Nexus 7 16GB orders by the end of next week with overnight shipping.
If you ordered your tablet with a case, charger or Nexus Q, your Nexus 7 will ship this week with overnight shipping, in some cases ahead of the rest of your order. Don't worry - the rest of your order will be on its way shortly.
In Canada: We’ve shipped all Nexus 7 8GB orders. We are in the process of shipping Nexus 7 16GB orders and will ship them in 1-2 weeks.
In the UK: All Nexus 7 8GB orders will ship by July 20 (BST). All Nexus 7 16GB orders placed through June 30 (BST), will ship by July 20 (BST). The remaining Nexus 7 16GB orders will ship next week.
In Australia: All Nexus 7 8GB and Nexus 7 16GB orders will be fulfilled by the end of day on July 19 (AEST) and will arrive in 3-5 days.

Just received the following email. Placed order 7/4, and have heard nothing until just now:

FINALLY!!, I just got an email from Google saying they wanted to update me on the status of my order. They said if you ordered before July 11th your tablet will ship THIS WEEK shipping overnight. If after the 11th it will ship next week with overnight shipping as well.
Dang. I thought that email from Google was going to be a tracking number. But any communication is good, I guess.

Yeah I got that email as well. I was so happy because I thought it was my confirmation then my heart dropped when i realized it wasn't. Well at least they finally contacted us.
I guess the upgrade to overnight shipping is their compensation for this whole mess. Not enough in my opinion, but I'll take it! 
A few months back my wife asked for a kindle fire, she loves it, she mainly uses it for books. About a month ago I decided I wanted a 7" tablet because it became annoying sharing her fire to read. I started researching online when I came across the Google IO. I ordered the N7 that day, 6/27/12. It finally came today! Only problem is my wife now hates her fire and wants a N7!!!
I received the email too (6/27 order date, 16gb with Cover.) But....Overnight shipping doesn't matter if it doesn't ship soon! Since my card was charged does that mean it shipped today and I'll receive it tommorrow?
I've since picked up the tablet at Staples - it's incredible. I'm waiting on my order for the case now and the extra Nexus 7 will go to someone else who wants one locally.

Have mine all hooked up, downloaded a few apps,then decided to visit this forum again. My N7 is great! Doesn't feel like a $250 tablet to me! M little bro I getting his tomorrow at staples because they are getting a shipment in there. Gonna get to test out beam tomorrow! So happy!
Finally got mine as well. When i saw the size of the box it came i thought to my self o no this seems to small. When i finally got it open and fired her up i couldn't be more pleased, everything is lightning fast. Chrome is stupid fast on this thing also which is great. So far so good!
The speed of this thing is stupid crazy. They sure nailed in with Project Butter. This thing is iPad fast (I guess that's what we have to compare it to).
Glad most people are getting theirs today and enjoying it!
I thought the same thing when I saw the box. But I love this thing!!
