US (Snapdragon) S8/S8+: Does it still lag?

I'm on the fence about getting an S8 and I think I'm in a possible minority of people who is very sensitive to device lag. If you had/have a Snapdragon S7/S7e and don't think it lags at all, you might want to skip this post.

But if you're familiar with (and sensitive to) the lag present in the Snapdragon S7 and upgraded to the S8, do you still notice lag? I'm currently running the Exynos variant of the S7 which doesn't have issues with lag (or at least it's significantly less noticable then the SD version) and I'm trying to figure out if I'd be taking a step backward in terms of performance by going to the S8.

T-Mobile variant of the S8 has no noticable lag.

S7 did lag a bit once it was loaded with apps. That said, I've heard from many that part of the problem was all the carrier and Samsung bloat. The S8 has very little bloat.
