USB C Cables.

Any cable is capable of quick charging. It's up to the design of the phone and charger mostly as long as it conforms to the USB C standards.

That's not necessarily true, there are a lot of cables which follows the standards and it will quick charge the Nexus 5X and 6P but won't do so with let's say the V20 etc.

I know there's the resistor issue that prevents the phone from drawing too mucho power from a charging port, but I've otherwise not seen anything along the lines of your example.

This cable (Link Below) for example people who bought it claim they tried it with the Note 7 and the V20 and it did NOT "Quick Charge" the phone, the quick charge indicator didn't come up and it charged it slowly, so there are cables out there that doesn't quick charge even it does with the Nexus phones

You may be right, so my question (rhetorically, unless you have any idea) is why. I have run across a dirt cheap cable that slow charged simply due to such tiny power wires on my G4 using micro-USB. I'm not really counting those, as who knows what's in them. As for the more quality stuff, I'm curious what the issue is with ones like in your link. I did run across this article talking about the 5X and 6P quick charge issue, but looks like in their tests, it was charger related.

And then also this from Benson Leung about the QC3.0 in one of his blog comments:

If the Note 7 supports Quick Charge 3.0 to vary its voltage above USB standard range of 4.75 to 5.5V, it violates the USB Type-C specification and is considered a noncompliant device.

Who knows how it will behave?

Just keeps getting better... XD

Mine just came in today. Pretty stinking awesome.. A little hard to pull out based on it being flush and metal without any plastic or rubber to handle it.

Love the iOrange cables. Bought a ton for my note 7 after seeing they're compliant . High quality well made.

I don't know why it is so but what I do know is that it's beyond annoying

Just upgraded the he whole family to V20's from V10's and so far loving loving the upgrade. Since I already have some really good Micro USB cables, has anyone used any Micro USB to USB-C adapters? Looking for input on this before I go buying a bunch of replacement cables.

The Note 7 came with a Micro USB to USB-C adapter, so I have two. They work just as fine. Only issues I've had is in my car, if you're not careful, it falls off easy. I lost my adapter for a few days. I ended up buying 6.6 ft cables for my house /work and I got this for my car, and plan on using the short USB-C cables that came with the Note 7/V20 with it.

Yep. I already have the Aukey fast chargers with the 2 Fast Charge 2.p ports for our vehicles and love them.

As for the adapters, I know that with Micro USB cables they can tend to loose up and fall out of the phone port. Is this what you are referring to?

No, they don't fall off the phone part, they fit pretty snug there, they fall off the charging cables pretty easy.
