Well another one bites the dust. This time the headphone dongles have stopped working. Thankfully I'm still within the 2 year warranty and Google are replacing the phone.
Still though, this is the second one I've needed replacing and my old 6P had to go back twice too.

Anyone else feel like they're almost giving up on Google phones? I can upgrade now and it's so tempting to go to the dark side and actually have a resale value when I replace my phone.

I have replace my phone 2 times and about to go for a 3rd. First time was the camera took a crap then the replacement phone had a screen issue that after 2 weeks of use developed a black smear across the screen.

Next phone was good until just last month the screen started to deform in the lower corner and that brings me to my most recent replacement that I got about a month ago and the fast charging doesn't work half the time. Ugh!!!

My warranty is up next month
I think I have decided that I'm going cheap next phone.

I wasn't happy about getting a refurbished phone as a replacement ever since my first problem developed and I let Google know. Here I am going on 3 replacements.

About the only thing I can say good about the whole process is they make it very easy to process a claim.

I haven't had any issues with either the Pixel 1 or 3. I won't really consider going to Apple, as i am too invested in Google services to switch. If the price is what the rumors are for the 4, I'll most likely shift to the Pixel A series.

I've had pretty good luck. Had the Nexus 5, 6, 5x and 6P. Also had the Pixel 2 and still have the 2xl. Only had to deal with RMA for N6 and 2xl. Both were replaced with brand new phones that never had any issues. I even got the full 2 year warranty on the replacement 2xl. Resale value hasn't been that bad. Think I sold the 64 GB Pixel 2 on Craigslist for $400. Never really been tempted to switch to the iPhone. The phones are just boring and locked down and known to have their own issues. I quite like having a more customizable phone that you don't see every 15 minutes or even every day.

My USB port has not failed, but it is definitely temperamental. Though, this is likely due to user error and not realizing the stress I was putting on it. That being said, it's a little annoying, but this is the only issue I've had. And I have a first batch 2 XL, with no issues other than user caused.
