Instructions for grading:
Using the 3 categories below, give each category a grade for the Evo LTE, then an overall grade.n Check out my example:
Functionality / features / Specs (50% of grade)
B+, The fact is, 2012 was supposed to be the year for Quadcore. But that hasn't panned out. So, when you consider that this phone is missing a Quadcore chipset, dual LED flash, the 3D camera its predecessor came with, and add the fact that LTE coverage will be very limited at best when the phone is released, it gets a generous B+ for all the other specs and the stuff the phone CAN do.
Design / aesthetic appearance (30% of grade)
B- This is not the best looking phone out there but its still beautiful, the One X has it slightly beat in that department. But if the removable Back was not shiny, this grade would be changed to B+. Also, if the screen was streched to the sides of the device, it would get an A-
Price (20% of grade)
A- Let's face it: Free would be a perfect score, but we have to face reality. Given that other carriers (Aaaachoooo Verizon Aaaaachoooo) have been charging $299 for their high end phones, its good to see Sprint sticking with the $199 price point for this nicely made smartphone
Overall Grade:
B+ Yes, I am getting this phone on launch day!
