Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

No SD card slot would be rather disappointing but not a deal breaker as I never use even 8 gb of storage space. However, it's always nice to have that option. I wonder what their reasoning is for potentially excluding it.

Oh well, those specs sound like they could be the real deal. Hopefully announcement will come soon so we can finally set the record straight.

Surely it will be no important to end user but for certain developers is a really deal breaker.

No SD slot is an absolute deal breaker for me. We all use our phones differently so we all have different needs and what works for some is a deal breaker for others. I'm looking at the HTC Vigor and at this phone and keeping my eyes open for anything else that may be coming out on VZW in the next month or two and will be switching to one of them. I was hoping that this might be one of the options but its looking bleak. I'm in no hurry so I'll just wait until the specs are officially announced and then go from there.

Just saw that Panda's "6 hour" battery claim was for pushing 4 GB's of data and that similar usage killed the Bionic in 3 hours...that makes me feel a lot better.

Now for the real point of this post - I don't know if its an influx of more people in here as the release gets closer, but why the hell are people suddenly claiming outlandish things like there is no evidence of the Nexus coming to Verizon? I mean seriously people? I don't know if people are trolling or just ignorant, but I've seen some really ridiculous posts in the last 2-3 days.

I don't get the whole big freaking deal about the battery life. Yes, I hope the prime at least has a 1700(mAh) battery but...we have control over 4G....that's what really drains the battery life. I can just turn on 4G when I'm actively using the phone to conserve battery life.

Thought he said killed the Bionic in 4 hours? I know 6 is more than 4 but still...lol. Some of us like putting other devices in a worse light than they really are to make our choice seem that much better...oh well. Human nature I guess.

Well there certainly is second hand evidence. I think until we see an FCC filing or (as much as they can be faked) an about phone screen displaying the Verizon model number, its real hard to imagine it. Ive been on Verizon off and on for the past two years due to their lack of selection with Android devices. I realize you can go the Rom direction (and i usually do) but Nexus phones just have that special touch to them. The Nexus One disappointed alot of people so im sure atleast some of us dont want to be hurt again, haha. However, i dont believe Google or Samsung would pass on releasing this on Verizon as Lte is the top dog right now and Verizon is leading that charge.

on twitter he said 4 hours, in another thread here he said 3, so who knows which he meant

No. No no no. Just no. There has been an abundance of evidence (leaks, Wifi/BT cert, etc.) that have indicated this device is coming to Verizon, so it is not "real hard to imagine." I don't know where people have been for the past month, but all indications are pointing this device at Verizon. It's OK if people don't follow rumors as closely as others, but to come in here and start posting blatant falsities is just annoying.

Hey man i wasnt trying to argue you to an extreme extent. Ive followed these rumors very closely as well(ive been unemployed the past few weeks with some extra downtime, heh) I truly believe there is a Nexus coming to Verizon because like i said, itd be dumb not to do it. Im just clarifying why people would have a hard time believing it. The WiFi/BT certification is solid and i honestly trust some of the testers saying theyve handled it and or have a trusted source. I think the community is just restless waiting for an actual announcement to make it all official. A lot of people dont believe it until they see it and that anxiousness makes people question.
