Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

Let us hope all carries get it the same day >_<. I hate exclusivity !!!

Pretty much every rumor has this device out first on Verizon. A simultaneous carrier launch seems like long shot at this point. Even if they wanted to launch them at the same time just look at the GS2. The Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T versions of the phone were announced at the same time and it's taken a month to get them all out.

Plus, launching a flagship Samsung device for those carriers RIGHT after the GS2 might piss off a LOT of Spring, T-Mobile, and AT&T customers. If it was going to be a simultaneous release, I'm guessing we would have seen other carriers pass on the GS2...just a thought though.

You ever think Google just waits until the community and rumor mongers create an interesting name for devices/OS versions?

The Nexus One was rumored to land on Verizon first as well... For the sake of everyone that is on Verizon (I am not) lets hope History doesn't repeat itself.

Yes you read that right "Lets hope History Doesn't repeat itself" Honestly I think Verizon should get a chance at having a Nexus Phone first, even though I really want it and I am not on Verizon.

Anyone want to know why this makes perfect sense, and why I'm not the least bit worried this is false? Well too bad if you don't :b. The reason Verizon is releasing this instead of the SGS2 is because back before the OG Droid Android was struggling. Android needed a carrier to sponser them for devices. Verizon, Motorola, and Google worked together to create the Droid. Even though Sprint and T-mo seem to have more flagship, great Android phones it's because they don't have the good network so they pump out the good phones. Anyway Google and Verizon have not yet created a TRUE successor to the Droid. When I say that I mean what the Droid was supposed to be. It was a pure Google Device like the XOOM, or Nexus line. The next "Droid Prime/Nexus" or whatever it will be is not only meant to take the place of the SGS2, AND be the the followup to the Droid. When you think about it, it makes sense because Verizon has probably been under some pressure from Google because most of the other Droid handsets, including the followups to the OG have been locked down, and they got the Incredible instead of the Nexus one so yeah. My 2 cents/input. No need to worry about the IF's its only a matter of WHEN.

Now I wait for the "that post was irrelevent, and or unnecessary." :b

so how far in advance do devices appear on the cellbrite before they are announced? 30-60 days?

A quick Google search revealed that my phone (OG Dinc) appeared on Verizon's cellbrite 4/14/10-4/15/2010. Release was 4/29/2010. Its safe to say that its very imminent.

unless you are me and carry SPRING and VZW, he he HA!

Typically, Cellbrite means 2-6 weeks or so.

We need a Ray Lewis footsteps commercial for this lol

This post was irrelevant, and or unnecessary. :)

I was merely commenting that for Sprint, the Nexus Prime may not drop until Spring....yeah...thats it...

The only way a SGSII user (now, having fun, not waiting) is going to regret buying one is if VZW doesn't touch it. Droid Prime=Google failbow.

funny how Cellebrite doesnt show carrier based phones, it is showing the phone model it doesnt mean it will be for Verizon, FYI Tmobile and metroPCS have the same device and shows the same model, still not Verizon.

Lest we forget Verizon has the right to say NO.
