Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

So the question is what are the other model numbers for

Different carriers and regions around the world will probably receive the same phone with differing model numbers. Hopefully it means the Nexus will see a shorter worldwide roll-out than expected.

there was some issues about factoring in dst. If this isn't what you meant, can you link me to the original article so i can see what you're talking about?

This is the original article I saw:

Samsung confirms Ice Cream Sandwich event on October 19 -- Engadget

The last part says:

"The event takes place 10:00am HKT, which is conveniently 10:00pm EST on October 18th. A primetime liveblog and gadget unveiling? Can't wait."

So, I'm confused. Is it 8:30, 9:30, or 10? To simplify matters further, I live near Cleveland, Ohio.

For those of us in the Eastern Daylight Time timezone, we should be glued to the Android youtube channel at 10PM tonight. This time is further solidified by the banner currently on the youtube channel that says the event starts at 10AM HKT, which is conveniently 12 hours ahead of EDT. (sorry for the lack of links...first post ;))

I believe the initial confusion comes from the fact that the invite said the doors open at 9:30am (HKT), but the event won't actually start until 10:00am (HKT).

anyone see this?

Galaxy Nexus images, specs and benchmarks apparently leaked -- Engadget

Great post. Couldn't agree more. Anyone complaining about clock speed should keep in mind that other phones, (see, e.g. 4S) are significantly under 1.2ghz and run like butter. I know iOS is different, but still - the point stands.

couldn't be more disappointed.
if they use cheap hardware why sell the phone at a high end price?

the features that ICS brings today is used by iphone and windows phone since months/years, so what they are selling that we can't belive?

Stop. Really...you're embarrassing yourself. It's not cheap hardware.

I don't care if they use bamboo shoots and mud for hardware, If the phone performs well and I agree to the price then its my phone. If you feel its too expensive or not worth it, move along and don't hold up the line.

Kinda shocked Motorola crammed an 1800 mAH battery into the RAZR. Hopefully the Nexus can at least match that (although I guess 1750 isn't THAT big of a difference, but still).

SGX540 is a cheap gpu if you say the opposite it's not my problem.

The only other gpu that this could realistically have that is better is the mali 400. While the mail performs better in synthetic benchmarks, the sgx 540 is much more supported in the development community and is better optimized for. Additionally the sgx540 in the omap is clocked almost twice as high as the version in the benchmarks you keep throwing around. The real world difference will not be that significant between the two even in 6 months when the galaxy s2 finally gets updated to ics.

I can't believe there saying 12 hours of talk time. If they can get that with a skinned gingerbread phone, we should do better than that right? I mean stock ICS with Dual Core and a 1900mah batt should do better.
