Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

Since November 14th the Galaxy Nexus has received more press and search queries than any other Verizon phone. It's not even close.
There's no doubt the Verizon must have missed the mark with the RAZR. Have they released any sales figures? The way Big Red has handled this release is a disgrace. Friday press releases, lying about Google Wallet, and network outages. Then they have the nerve to charge $300 for a 4G device when their network is having major issues.

Called the three stores within walking distance of work and asked "What's the chance of me picking up a Nexus tomorrow?". Got two "No release date has been announced" and a direct, no-nonsense answer of "Zero!". Any other experiences today with VZW stores?
Just called 2 local corporate stores and got the "we know nothing" treatment; then, based on a rumor I saw posted here earlier, decided to call a small reseller in a grocery store about 15 minutes north of me in an area that will not be getting 4G coverage until Dec. 31s and asked if they knew anything. At first, the guy told me to check out PhoneArena; but, after I told him about monitoring the rumor blogs for months now, he indicated there is a very slight possibility for tomorrow being back on in non-4G coverage areas, BUT they only have a non-working demo unit right now, so it might not matter anyway.

Well, for what it's worth a recent post on that thread points to a 12/15 release date. If I was a betting man (which I am) I'd put money on that day being the real launch. Of course, that won't keep me from wandering down to the local VZW tomorrow morning. The exercise will do me good and, hell, I may get lucky.

Exactly. There is next to no advertising for this phone, and most have no clue about it. Of course searches for the RAZR would go down after it came out.

I shouldn't have turned down that job Verizon offered me 3 years ago. I'd be rolling with one as well.
