Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Prime) Waiting Room

those could just be photoshopped. If there real, take a picture of you on one foot, holding a paper with your screen name, wearing a shirt that reads "I AM NOT A ROLE MODEL". Until i see this. Cool story bro.

Why is there a washer/dryer in your Verizon store? I didn't know they sold appliances...?

PS. Be weary of posting ANYTHING self incriminating.. I did once and my company almost lost a multi-million dollar Dell deal.

Being a 5 minute hero isn't worth your job. :)

I really can't believe how unbelievably bad this launch has been. I would love to know what VZW's internal reason was for cancelling Friday.

What I don't get about all this.....if there are clearly some individuals with the VZW version of this phone right now, why are we not hearing ANYTHING credible from any of them on whether or not there are any issues what-so-ever with the phone? I mean really.....the main thing we heard previously bug related was issues with the 2 VZW apps on the phone, but supposedly those have been addressed with the 4.1 OTA that should update shortly after activation of the new phone. And I personally think that the whole "4G LTE outage" having any sort of affect on this phone's launch is pretty big reach too. Have they suspended sales of ANY LTE phones because of it? Not that I'm aware of.

I know I'm stating the obvious with this, but this is just strange and incomprehensible.

Their rationale with a network-related delay is that there would be a large influx of new device activations, all at the same time, coupled with a mandatory post-activation OTA. All of that stresses the network. (or did you miss how stressed the system gets on heavy activation days?) They know that there is a demand for this phone, and Verizon isn't exactly the company to risk breaking their network for a phone they can wait a few days to launch.

Same reason why Chris Paul didn't go to the Lakers: "Basketball Reason."

Xyboard is up on site and for sale...why is it so difficult to do the same with the Nexus?

Edit: "Buy a Droid RAZR and get $100 off a Xyboard" - the delay becomes suddenly clearer to me.

I think I'm going to take a vacation from AC's forums until after the GNex launches. The less I know, and the less rumors I hear, the better.

agreed....talk ofdelay due to 4g network issues?...ya right. ^what he said. smh.

Yeah, the launch of the Xyboard completely squashed the idea that the outage was the issue for the delay...at least for me. I'm back to the "I don't know what the heck" side of things. I hate to put my tinfoil hat on but...yeah..

But hey, at least we can order a Xyboard!

This really got me thinking. Does Verizon think they actually "own" the Android platform now, and can call the shots anyway they see fit. The whole `Droid marketing campaign has really blurred the lines, but we know that through their actions (i.e. blocking tethering, bastardizing the "pure" experience, etc.), they aren't the least bit interested in any kind of open source / open network / open line of communication with their customers. Please feed us more BS and keep us in the dark VZW!

Anyone actually going to bother dropping by a store today just to make sure it's not there?

I am going to hit the local Radio Shack. Why would anyone buy into a date at this point..... ughhhhh. I am on the phone with Telesales right now and have been on hold forever well she looks up some information....uhh I mean to get some coffee and do the Seinfeld rental car talk. Well she came back on and said she did not have any information on the phone but thinks that it should be out between the 9-12th. Well today being the 9th and I doubt a phone would drop over the weekend, I guess she is saying Monday. This and the Logitech Revue update are killing me......
