Verizon: Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Thread

My Note 8 shipped early!! (Today! - Verizon)

Soo...

I get a random charge to my credit card on my Verizon bill this morning and then one hour later I get a text message for a product being shipped today and arriving on September 5th. The charge was the amount of Note 8 total. Plus I didn't order anything else so it has to be it. I've seen this before where products get shipped out before their original launch. NOW I'm really excited for this phone, because it's coming early. bye bye S7 Edge 😁

Who else got a tracking number and a early shipment for their Note 8??

well just checked again an hour later because I was getting envious....shipped with expected delivery 9/5!
 
It still says processing but thats an upgrade from "there is an error with your order. Please contact us." If I hadn't seen that I wouldn't be getting a Note 8 on the shipping day. However, I did notice that now under my devices when logged into my Verizon account it shows everything about the Note 8 except the picture of the actual phone hasn't been updated. The picture is still for my iPhone 7 Plus but the new amount owed, contract dates and all that have been updated. Under my orders it still shows processing like I said above but I have the ship date being shown, which is the standard 9/14.

After seeing today's posts about some people receiving shipping info I checked my order which I originally made by phone. Because it took almost an hour over 2 different calls because the salesperson was new and had to cancel the first order and then call me back to let me know he did it wrong. He didn't payoff my S7edge first so I wasn't eligible for the $480 credit so I had to start all over. Then my company's credit card was flagged for fraud due to the multiple Verizon transactions so it was no surprise that there may have been an issue with the order. I didn't see an error notice on my order but when checking with the confirmation number it told me there was a problem and to call Verizon. Apparently they never got confirmation from me of the terms. After 2 calls this morning they swear it's all OK. Why they didn't contact me by email or text is a mystery.

While writing this book, I just got a text from Verizon confirming my order was received. Baby steps.

Wow, we must have had the same rep!haha. I had pretty much the same experience. I just got off the phone with them this morning as well and they said everything is good. But I still don't have the best feeling about my order, its still in processing. Also, I placed this order on 8/30. Thats when my card was charged as a pending transaction, today its cleared. BUT when I called this morning they said my order on 8/30 was deleted due to all the problems that the original rep made and they had to re-place the order yesterday(8/31). My first questions was "does this mean I will get a later shipping date?". They assured me that I wouldn't but like I said, my order still just says "processing, check back later". This hasn't been the best experience to say the least. I guess time will tell if I get the Note early or note.
 
Got a text at 3am (forgot old LG G3 doesn't and never did do priority notices very well)
that phone and preinstalled sim delivered to Fedex but delivery date is 9/14 so they are apparently going to do the same thing they did last year with the Note 7 and have Fedex hold them till then. Hope it goes ok. Fedex lost the Pixel XL for two days and only hours on the phone and a lot of yelling helped them find it.
 
I had a "Completed" status for a good part of the morning but no text or email. Received an email about an hour ago that it had shipped. FedEx shows priority overnight shipping with a delivery date of the 5th.
 
Well I canceled my original order from Samsung for a unlocked model and ordered a Verizon from Samsung instead, not planning on using Verizon as a carrier
Creates a delay in shipping but that's OK gave me the 12th as ship date.
 
As long as everyone keeps calm and remembers release date is not til September 14th. This is the same way the note 7 went, but the shipments had future delivery dates and they sat at the shipper yards. Just wanting to prepare everyone for that possibility, hopefully we don't go thru that again.

I was thinking the same thing... could also be a authorization hold and not an actual charge... I have seen that too.
 
If you guys actually get the phone on the 5th, does that mean earlier release for the stores too.
 
I hope you guys get your phones early, but I remember all this from the S8+. Shipping notices and tracking numbers, a few people received them early, but the rest were held until launch day or the day before.

No. Stores are always on the day of release. Pre-orders are the chance to get it early.
 
So happy were getting it early it'll be a two day late birthday present for me. :) I'll keep the FedEx tracking page open until it gets here.
