Verizon: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

The new line has to stay active for 2 years to keep the BOGO deal for free. I'm sure you can cancel any of the other ones. If you cancel anything with a device agreement on it you'll still have to pay for that device. I would call to be sure though.

Ok. All 3 other lines I currently have are all paid off.

I get what you're saying, but then all should be that way. That's the problem, this time Samsung started sending them early, then others are expecting theirs to start shipping too.

I'm ok with Friday, I just want my card charged and order confirmed. If my card is like usual, the fraud check will reject the charge, then I'll have to take care of that which will add a day. I just want to know it's done deal.

Na Samsung sending them out early really has nothing to do with it. I have been around here a long time including making these threads. It doesn't matter if it was Samsung or AT&T that shipped first .. people expect it to come early just because it did in the past. If it doesn't come until release time -- something is wrong or they are disappointed with Samsung. Both of which are odd to me. Verizon usually ships the night before on most orders and will have them there on release day or the day before (possibly).

I get being excited -- Been there done that... but to expect it to ship early and be upset when it doesn't... well yeah. Idk :P.

I think it's because and this is how I felt, if I pre buy I should get it before the people who walk in the store. That's what everything else goes by, from cars to video games. Most feel that same way about these phones I think. They feel it's a early release they bought not a guarantee of first to receive.

I'm 47, I'm not giddy with excitement. As I said, I just want the charge to go thru, Friday is fine with me.

Personally what I was trying to say is that if the release date is set for a certain date, then that's when you get phones from wherever you order it from, get rid of early releases period like it used to be.

It doesn't matter much now, the following is why Verizon is screwing their customers.

Only 102,000 AKG noise cancellation headphones, 46,000 Game Bundles, and 36,000 Bundles will be available. If Gifts are unavailable for any reason, Samsung, in its sole discretion, may choose to issue a Reward eCertificate in the apprx value of the Gift as a substitute. Reward eCertificates are valid only at Samsung (link removed) or in the app for use towards an eligible purchase, and are valid through 11/16/18"

That'll stinks considering you can't order your pre-order rewards until after you have phone in hand. Thus the longer that takes, the less likely you'll get your rewards. Quite frankly I'd rather get my headphones over some e-certificate of unknown value only valid at Samsung's site.

Oh, and remember.... if you wanted both items, that would have been and additional $99 dollars. I bring that up because I'm guessing you'd be lucky if the "e-certificate" amounts to that much. Those AKG phone... they're estimated at $299. Of course this is retail price, but still...

The only thing that bothers me is will there be enough of the free gifts? If it were Friday for all, I wouldn't have a problem. If it were next Friday for all, wouldn't have a problem. Just think if there is a promotion for all carriers at a limited quantity, they shouldship the same.

Yeah, my expectation is Friday so anything early is a bonus, not an expectation. That said if Friday comes and goes with no phone then I'll go into a full blown meltdown :)

Preordering doesn't entitle anyone to receive it early. It just means you're guaranteed to get one on release day.

You're not even guranteed one on that date.

Which makes one wonder why he/she should even preorder to begin with. It seems like it's more stressful than what it's worth. I'm not feeling stressful because I know I'll be getting one on Friday. Whether it's a 128GB or 512GB is up in the air at this point.

I do it because I don't want to mess with the store. It just puts me on the list and it comes to my house.
