I had dad brain earlier this week
Preorders for the Note 9 open at Verizon at 12:01AM ET on August 10th. You can buy the 128GB Note 9 from Verizon for $41.66 per month, or $52.08 per month for the 512GB model, for a total of 24 months. Full price is $999 and $1,249, respectively. They are offering a buy-one-get-one (BOGO) promotion for new customers -- start a line of service and purchase one 128GB Note 9 and get a free Note 9, S9 or S9 Plus.
That is a gamble I would not want to do. Verizon reps are notorious for being wrong and there's nothing you can do to get it fixed. I would return today.I'm for SURE getting this. I had dad brain earlier this week and bought an S9 Plus (forgetting this was being announced this week). I called Verizon and they told me I can call tomorrow and even though I wont be in the 14 day return window by August 24th, as long as I lock in my preorder within the return window I'll be okay. So yeah, definitely ordering this and even though its overkill I think Im going to go with the 512GB version.

Something to think about, the system probably won't let you upgrade that line without paying the s9 off first anyway.
I thought you were talking the 14 days is up today, I misread.Well, I was told the following - "You
ok, so the note 9 just got announced. but I just got an S9 plus like, a few days ago. Is there any way that ill be able to get the Note 9 instead?
Verizon
Actually let's see here.
Verizon
So actually yes you could. Since the pre-orders start tomorrow you'd be able to place a Pre-Order as a worry free guarantee exchange.
You
Oh okay, excellent. So how would that work
Verizon
As long as your S9 Plus is undamaged you'd be able to exchange it. The only condition would be you'd pay the $35 restocking fee.
Verizon
You'd contact us tomorrow to place the pre order and lock it in. The phone won't actually arrive within the 14 days but as long as it's ordered you're locked in."
The countdown timer on their Note9 pages insinuates 3 AM EDST. Yikes.
I'm also seeing the 3am EST. I don't think I'll be awake.
