Verizon: Galaxy Note 9 Pre-Order Thread

Went with the blue 512. Closed my eyes and just did it, it was a $250 upgrade, top phone you can get now and you will get it back if you sell it next year anyway, so why not enjoy the best phone you can get on the market. I hope that 8 gig of ram makes this phone fly. I don't know if I'll use the SD card, probably won't need it and internal memory is faster anyway.

Had to call Chase though because it wouldn't validate my card at check out. Felt like a fool calling at 2 in the morning to validate the charge for a phone. At least I shouldn't have to worry about fraud protection blocking the shipment now.

I agree. Oh wow that sucks. I haven't had that issue before glad you got it worked out. I'm curious tho cause when I preordered the note 7 and note8 thru Verizon website said the taxes would be taken out at time the phone ships. This time it showed me my taxes and said it would be billed to my account and not anything about when it ships. I think I'm going to go bug Verizon customer service on Twitter and ask them. Lol

Yeah it looks like they are taking the charge right away this time. Haven't looked to see if it was charged on my card account yet.

I don't care, I would rather they just take the money, then I know it's done deal. Could be a good sign that phones could be shipped next week.... Here's to hoping... Lol

Lol that would be great lol. But I don't know. They haven't charged mine. Customer service said if the receipt said taxes will be billed to account instead of when it ships then that how it would happen. But I don't know you know how customer service is lol. So I'll still be waiting for taxes being charged when phone ships lol just in case.

Edit: after reading up on it I saw that I had to be account owner to be able to get billed to account option. I don't why but for some reason awhile back I noticed they had me as just the account manager which is funny cause my name is the only name on all lines lol. I have them fix it awhile back and now I guess that why I got the bill everything to the account option now. If that is what it is hell I'll take it. Lol

Got up early and pre-ordered. I went for the 8gb/512 in PURPLE! Hurry up and get here.....

Somehow blew past my 6am alarm and didn't wake till 7am lol. Pre-ordered the 512GB blue. I legit was tempted to get the purple. It's a nice color and I have three girls. But this is my work phone and I always did think the deep blue color was amazing. $250 for the extra space and ram does suck, but honestly this will be my last Android phone purchase for probably 3-4 years, if not more. I've got an iPhone 7+ as my primary and I'm going to roll with it for at least another year. During the great smartphone wars (2009-2011) I was upgrading every 3-6 months as the latest and greatest came out. It was quite costly back then. More recently I was upgrading every year but now with where iPhones and Samsung devices are, I don't see the point. Unfortunately I've never held on to any of the Notes that I've had (2, 4, 7), but I'm keeping this one forever. One cool thing, I guess VZW bill to account has made a return? I've not seen that option during any other phone purchases lately but today it defaulted to it.

Verizon's email confirmation to me states, "You can find estimated delivery dates below, and we'll ship your pre-ordered items as soon as they're available." That's provisionally encouraging as messages go. The funds for the transaction, which has an ID number(!), have yet to be deducted from my account though my bank will often 'sound out' purchases like this one by pulling-out the funds then putting them back in a day later. At any rate in two weeks or less the anticipation will be a moot point as the FedEx driver drives down our lane.

I placed my order and got a S9+ for my wife as the 2nd device. They are telling me the expected ship date isn't accurate but it is showing October 16th for the order number corresponding to the S9+. That order also includes a Zagg Curve Elite screen protector. However the order number corresponding to the Note 9 doesn't have an estimated ship date. I will be away beginning on the 28th. So I need both devices to come in on the 24th. If this isn't going to happen, I'll have to cancel. Chatting with a rep, I'm told the dates will be updated. I ordered right at 6am EDT this morning.

That Zagg glass is screwing you up.

I was thinking that might be it. I spent like 2 minutes trying to decide if I was going to get that damn thing. I shouldn't have! I'll call Customer Service later to see if they can fix it. Or it may be updated soon to reflect better dates.

I pulled the trigger on the blue 512GB preorder. I'll have to drive the 4 hours to my house to get it on release day. At least I'll be guaranteed to get one. :)

I changed my mind and cancelled the 128GB pre order I did with Best Buy and ordered the 512GB through Verizon. Screw it. Its go big or go home with this phone and I'm going to try to stick it out with this one for the full 2 years.

ordered mine. 512 deep sea blue. still sadden by the no black option but.. it will be in a case anyway. now the wait :(

They won't ship them until the following week, at the earliest. If it will be anything like my S7 edge, they'll ship it out a week before release day and hold it in a local warehouse until the day before release day.
