So is Verizon not offering a trade in option right now? I've been looking around, but haven't found anything, which seems odd for them.

You're always welcome to trade-in a phone with carriers when purchasing a new phone from them. They will give you whatever's the going value unless they're offering a special trade-in pricing for your phone.

I have verizon with 2 lines total. I would like to BOGO note 9 promo on both my lines. (devices are both paid off in full). I understand I need to buy a note 9 on my primary and add a 3rd line with new number for the 2nd free note 9. Id like to transfer my 2nd line to the 3rd line and switch numbers if possible then cancel my 2nd line. is that even allowed?

I do not see why it wouldn't be allowed, they are still getting their money for the 3rd line and who are they to tell you that you cannot change your number. I know they would have an issue with giving you the Bogo for the 2 existing lines unless your rep is awesome and can figure out a way.

I would call back and talk to a supervisor, they should be in your hand on or before the 24th, it is possible you got a representative that is not fully trained in preorders. I had that when I got the 1st moto z, they had no clue what I was talking about when I tried to preorder it
I just went on my Verizon and I see what you are talking about, but in my experience they send it out so it is at your house by the release date, otherwise what is the point of preorder when you could walk in and get it same day

I asked a similar question and this was their reply.


Now whether or not they allow you to switch phone numbers, I'm not sure. That may be one of those things that depends on the person you talk to.

Click the info icon by the preorder button it will tell you they charge you when it's shipping, usually when the shipping label is printed.

Yeah I must have changed 8n the past few hrs because I checked before bed and it still said ship date was the 24th
