What steps did you follow to root your phone (please provide a link)?
Did you receive an error at some point during the root process?
What firmware is on your phone?

My widgets are gone too but when I go to the settings I press the button to select swipe and the option to enable them is gray I cant select it

also to swipe at fist a white outline comes out so I know to swipe there, it's stupid is there anyway i can remove it, this update sucks

I'm baffled by what you're trying to say. Here's a screenshot of the typical Apps drawer

As you can see at the top, the Apps tab is selected, and the Widgets tab is next to it. This screenshot shows the Widgets tab

Are you saying that there are no widgets in the Widgets tab, or that some widgets have disappeared from your Home screens?
If the latter, did you swipe to your other Home screens to see if they got moved?
If they got deleted somehow you can just drag them back from the Widgets tab.

Hey, I cant seem to take pictures that are already on my Samsung Galaxy SIII, and add them onto my Facebook account. Because when I try to, my phone takes me straight to the Rogers website home page. How do I fix this?

Ok so everyone on here seems to have major problems on their phones with 4.3. I feel lucky. I've had the battery life issues but some apps have helped with that I hope 4.4 will address that. I do have a question though I have haptic feedback off but when using Samsung's new milk music my phone continuously vibrates and I haven't seen an option in the app to turn off feedback I had the issue with radio.com a while back and I think thats when I turned off haptic feedback. Any help would be great.

You mean how to do one? The best way is to boot into Recovery mode and you can also clear the system cache while you're at it.
If you want to do it from within the OS go to Settings -> Accounts (if using the Tab view) -> Backup and reset -> Factory data reset

How about from this old fart? (65)
Turn the phone off.
Hold the Home button, Volume up, and Power button to turn it on.
When it vibrates, release the Power button only.
When you see a blue line of text on the top, release the other buttons.
Use the volume to navigate up-down, power to select.

My S3 is paired with my car bluetooth - and I receive phone calls through it just fine; however, my Verizon Navigation just stopped coming through the car speakers and now only comes out of the phone speaker. I don't see any bluetooth settings in the Navigation app. Would like it to come through my car speakers again like my calls still do.

Check the Bluetooth profile for the car on your phone - sounds like something got changed.

I don't seem to know how to use search on this site because when I search for a term all I get is the thread then I have to scan through all the posts to try to find the hit. So, I'll just ask my question here. My YouTube app appears to work because I can get audio of videos but all I get is a black screen. I can watch movies I have on my phone, but a video linked in a blog which opens up the YouTube app gets me everything but the visual part. Seems to have happened after the latest android update. Everything else on my phone is working correctly. Any suggestions?

Seems to have happened after the latest android update.

1. Clear cache and Clear data for the YouTube app
2. Uninstall updates for the YouTube app; try it; then reinstall updates
3. Reboot into Recovery mode and clear the system cache
4. Perform a Factory Reset (especially if you didn't do one after the update)

Same exact problem here with Samsung Milk. There used to be a way to turn off "auto haptic", but not anymore under 4.3. I opened a ticket with Samsung, and they're looking into it

Except this is the Verizon S3 forum, and Verizon has disabled all those *#xxxxx# codes.

Hey everyone, I've been searching for hours and cannot find anything about this issue. I have the verizon GS3 running the latest stock firmware, and have been really annoyed by something. Every single time I receive a text message, my media volume instantly turns itself up to the max.

Has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it? It is seriously the most annoying thing ever, to the point where if I'm waiting for a text message back, I won't even open the youtube app (or the music player for that matter) because I know I'll just be blasted with the increased volume the instant the sms comes through.

no I have no t had this issue with my Verizon s3 but I have issues that are worse than this like apps crashing, lagging and huge battery drain. I am not saying that your issue is not important is just that my phone dies really fast even if I do not use it which should not happen at all.

My battery drain comes and goes. Sometimes it drains 75% in the first 5 hours of the day (no useage) and sometimes it lasts all day like it should.
