Verizon has MAXXED me out..PLEASE HELP

Tough. You take a chance with a phone. Work the system the right way and you get your ideal phone. Oh and you need to look in the mirror if your gonna get abusive...

Haven't been abusive yet. I used my upgrade on the RAZR and the battery was a let down. I paid full retail for a MAXX so I did it by the book. However, while I did it because of a battery, I'd be pissed off if my cell phone had signal issues. If I wanted those, I'd stop paying the high premium of Verizon and switch to T-Mobile. Sure, he waited too long, but cell companies should be REQUIRED to hit the standard Motorola has. Verizon service should be the SAME no matter which phone you choose. Its called quality control and its time Verizon and other cell phone providers step in and make it happen.

I wouldn't have an issue bring dishonest with Verizon. They give anyone with the audacity to ask them a question about update the run around and will flat out lie about knowing anything about updates. Lie your ass of and get the phone you want.

Because everyone in the corporate chain has access to the same information.

I didn't say you lied. I say you were telling the OP to make the same claim about their phone. Signal strength was never their claim - battery life was. Using your legitimate complaint to game the system and get their own MAXX would be lying.

Step back for one second and realize verizon as a corporation has absolutely no issue with misleading its customers. Besides, his original battery complaint is valid, and I'm willing to bet his phone gets crappy signal, he just deals with that because he assumes most phones get the same signal and it all depends on the network and not the phone.

Regardless, if you can't get them to swap out the phone, buy a Maxx on ebay and then Sell your Nexus. Should be both worth about the same so you shouldn't lose much money at all, and if you have asuron im pretty sure they will cover the used maxx you bought still.

definitely try and get the maxx, my complaints were valid, and even I has to buy a 3800 battery just to get through the day. Ridiculous

I was able to get a MAXX by showing them all my dropped calls. Open a case number. Verizon knows the nexus has software issues. If you keep calling them they will give in.

I bought the G-Nexus in January had the worst battery and signal sucked. I went from the iPhone 4 with 4 bars to a LTE flag ship phone with 1 bar and a battery that died in 4 hours with no use. They (verizon) pushed me in to the maxx i am not fond of Motorola but it has been a wonderful phone. And to those who think Verizon does not mislead there customers should pull there head out of there ass. Maybe you people should play the lottery because your lucky.

I told verizon they should stop selling G Nexus to customers. Battery life was terrible. Dropped calls.....software with network terrible!!

idk if someone said this already, but sell the old phone on ebay or something then get the one you want. that's what i've done several times afte rmy "window" was up.

You had 14 days. Verizon has their policies like every carrier does. People always seem to try to take advantage of a situation. Soon they could possibly take away any options. Follow policies. Sell your phone if its the Maxx you want. Its huge and actually is isn't a phone for everyone. Any bigger it could be a skateboard.

I'm sorry, but you can't compare a Bolt and a Maxx in that manner.
I had a Thunderbolt with an extended battery that still didn't get me through an entire day.

I'm not sure of official specifications, I'm only measuring my two phones next to each other. The Maxx is 7mm longer, same width, and less than HALF the thickness and HALF the weight of the Bolt. And more importantly (to me) I use my phone heavily all day and have yet to see the battery go into the red zone at the end of the day. I've never had a reboot. I've never lost my data as I did every single time I left a wifi area with my Bolt. I've had the Maxx since it came out. Best phone I've ever had by far, and I've had a lot of them.

JUST my own personal experience.

I think too much is made of the Maxx's size. I like how it feels substantial in my hand, and yet its light weight prevents it from feeling too massive. Hard to explain, but I generally don't like phones that are too tiny. True, the Maxx may not be right for a petite person, but if you have average sized adult hands, it shouldn't be a problem.

I have small "girl hands" and i was messing with the maxx today and i loved it! i never had an issue with my iphone keyboard, but this was awesome! so much more space!

You don't have to me an ass about it. Maybe he thought the issues would be fixed but they never were. Who knows, but signal issues are one of the MAIN reasons a person has right to be pissed. Whether he did it right away or not, I feel bad for him. Should he have done it sooner? Sure, but at least he is legitimately having issues rather than complaining for no reason at all.

It isn't like they bought the phone on launch they bought it months after when no update was in sight and the issues persisted. Should have avoided it from the get go.

You can't compare a 3g phone to an lte phone in battery department, not to mention the nexus is over an inch larger screen obviously it will use more battery....

So your saying 4 hrs with no use is OK in your book? Since i do understand the difference between the iphone and g-nexus i would have not complained at all if it were 4 hrs with use ... you need to be realistic before you comment the difference in hardware. 4 EFFIN HOURS COME ON WTF

Agreed. I had a Bolt for 12 days. Gave it a workout and couldn't make it past 10hrs on basic use. Even on 3G. Returned it and waited for the Samsung Charge. Could make it about 14hrs on 3G which was acceptable but the low memory reboots were killing me. I got so tired of seeing that Droid eye. I was so ready for the Nexus but thanks to my prior experiences with the Charge I decided to be patient and read the reviews on the Nexus. All I saw were issues. I'd swing over to the Razr forums and see 95% praise except battery life. So when the Maxx was introduced with 21hr battery I made the move and couldn't be happier.

True, but Verizon should NOT release much less SELL a phone that's not ready for prime time on their network. Plain and simple. You can disagree and I respect that, but stop calling it "the network" if some of your phones, including flag ship devices, fail to use this network. Either change the requirements and demand phone companies follow them or come up with a signal strength chart that's clearly visible. The most important thing in a phone is signal strength and for it to be sub par is unacceptable.

Note: Yes, I know he waited too long, but Verizon is far from innocent here.

Better than the 3 hours no use on the thunderbolt, although something is wrong with your phone if you go 4 hours without use and it dies, I had a nexus and it would last a good 8 hours with moderate use
