This phone comes out tomorow and I get more info from andriod central (best for info) then verizon (worst for info) how lame is that!!!!!!

Red tape, sir, red tape. The phones Verizon has on its network are strictly controlled by them; hence why we even had to wait for this whole VZW One to release. For them to say "sure you can have another one of these phones on our network except with an unlocked boot loader" would be kind of a stretch. Don't get me wrong, it 'could' happen, it's just not likely at all.

I purchased a developer edition s4 not to long ago. So I'm not sure why it's such a stretch and unlikely? I just expressed my concern with running out on day one like I normally do. Seems like early adopters get a raw deal one way or the other.

I'm assuming it will be available to order online after midnight. I'm not aloud to buy in store, so I'll be pissed if it isn't available before the morning.

It's pre-installed? So they don't give you one or its not in the box?

It's installed in the phone, it comes with a sim tool to pop it out if need be.

I didn't know you can tell them to let you take the box home to activate it yourself! If I wanted to switch from my iphone 5 to the HTC One and told them I had a sim adapter at home, would they still let me just take the phone home?

The system won't let you use your sim, because your sim essentially doesn't fit the one, So the rep has to process the new embedded sim for you, but you can tell him to do everything, but turn the phone on and do the rest when you get home.

You can also request a "activate later"option, which means your old phone is still activate until you go to your phone account to submit your new phone info.

So I can ask them to "activate later" and then just use a nano-to-micro sim adapter at home to activate it?

Here is on for everyone I went to the VZW store here in Colorado Springs the one by Ft Carson, walked in got in that wonderful line waited and when the rep came to me I asked him if they had the One he flat out told me that dont sell it never have never will I said what it is to be released tommrow once again he told me i don't know what i am talking about I then asked to see a manager he told me they were all busy what kind of crap do they teach the reps what they get threw day labor if you don't know what you are selling quit

Is it a corporate Verizon store? There's stores that look like Verizon, but are authorized dealers.

Reps only know what their computer screen shows them. Since it's not released until 8/22 (12 PM usually central time) they won't even know it exists without a Verizon pre order. I have been through this with them in the past. Tomorrow when it's on the website on and in stores they will act as if they knew all along that it was coming.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but when you get your HTC One make certain you check on a black screen for stuck pixels. Seems to be pretty common complaint with the One.

Oh I will be checking everything. Especially the camera first, since I've seen people with theirs having those weird streaks, as well as checking for gaps and all. Thanks for the heads up on this, dead/stuck pixels are enough to drive me crazy lol!

We got a healthy stock in today and when i closed the store down i had to put up the demo and tons of signage. The phone will DEFINITELY be available tomorrow.

They are available as soon as your nearest store opens. Just make sure it's a corporate store.
