for those that flashed the RUU; do we have confirmation that the FFC is now functional w/ Google, Skype, etc.?

Is this a way of saving face since the end of month is now? Now that they have announced coming soon, before the actual end of September, they can now wait a couple of weeks to actually push it out.

That's one holy mother of a bug to have made it through all the RUUs (no wonder Verizon doesn't have "the front facing camera we've been using as a selling point on this beast is finally useful for something!" in their announcement).

So you either hold your phone one way and you see your chat buddy upside down, or hold it another and they see you upside down? Or does it auto-orient so you are always being filmed upside-down? In other words, do I have to get myself one of those racks you hang upside down on (what they used to call "gravity shoes", I think?)

Does Skype work properly at least?

i wouldnt pay attention to that. droid-life is already saying it was copied from a moto docu.

so no sense 3.5....so basically after the gb update. im finally goin to get around to root an rom.

nope, droid life is now showing a preview of gb on tbolt. has some updates on some menus. an they said the phone is running faster. if you want sense 3.5 root an rom. which i will be learning over the next couple of days so i can run sense 3.5

Why wait? Just root now. Bamf is coming along nicely with their 3.5 sense ROM and bamf forever is phenomenal.

If this is the case, can someone tell me what version of GB solves this problem so I can join those of you who are going to "Root and ROM"?

No, the text bug is fixed in Gingerbread. It's even right there in the changelog...
