They do a heck of a job. I cannot wait for the official Gummy GB rom to get out.

No offense to the Gummy devs, but BAMF ROMS are all I need on my Bolt

I just checked and apparently its available for me to update too. anybody else try it? i'm afraid of any bugs that might come with it.

Got mine installed so far so good, love that they moved the radio toggles to the tab in the notification bar, saves me lots of screen real estate

Gingerbread has been reported as "coming soon" for months, I'll believe it when it's here.

So am I to understand that the SMS send-your-text-to-the-wrong-person bug is still in this update? I have used GoSMS and still have this problem. I don't want to text anyone anymore.

If this is the case, can someone tell me what version of GB solves this problem so I can join those of you who are going to "Root and ROM"?

ive been using handcent or gosms since i got my TB on launch day and have never experience this bug. ive never used the stock messenger, ever, so either i'm really lucky or it only affects the stock app.

BTW it says the update is available. Is there any way to force it to DL over WiFi? i only get 1 bar of 1x in my office.

So i took the phone to my car to update via 3G, waited about an hr and 15 minutes, and found it sitting on a "server error" message. ****. tried running Check for Update again and now it says there's no update? wtf. is there a manual download somewhere? ivbe never liked OTAs b/c this radio drops all the time. you cant be driving when updating b/c it errors out when switching cell towers (at least going b/w 3G and 4G).

You could load the RUU. It's the same file, except it'll wipe your device.

I got the same error - tried the download at first, it failed, then I got the "no update" message for a few hours until it finally worked. I had pulled the battery in the meantime, perhaps that would be a good step as well.

You might also want to use LTE On/Off to turn 4G off long enough to maintain a stable connection. Or find someplace with a solid 4G connection and do the entire update there - the file is about 150MB, over 4G you should be looking at a few minutes.

Yes you can download over Wifi and in fact it is recommend because the file is 148mb in size. Doing a manual update check should do the trick.

EDIT: Unfortunately you are going to have to be in the same place while it downloads, try rebooting the device and checking for updates again.
