Verizon Lollipop is here!!!

I have the WiFi gmail synch issue as well, that I just noticed. Terrible mistake given they released the update 2 months after everyone else.

Phone is a little quicker and much better battery to after factory reset.

First day battery usage was a little worse than I expected. Second day was better, third day is much better

I am having a problem with charging since the update. My wireless charging is so slow now. After 5 hours I went from 5% to 33%, I would usually be a full charge in less then 3 hours. Any thoughts?

Battery life seems to be a little worse, but that may be because I was moving things around in my app drawer for a long period. Gmail sync seems to be fine, although I haven't checked Google Hangouts yet. I did have to do a factory reset because of the inability to update Google Services and download from the Amazon Appstore. But then I ran into the MicroSD card-reading bug. I'm going to suggest this to everyone before they upgrade to Lollipop: backup your MicroSD card, then format it into ExFAT or NTFS and restore. It's unconscionable that Google, LG, and Verizon neglected to mention this.

Before this update, some users experienced bad call quality. The recommended fix was to disable the "Ok Google" detection in the Google app, which did work. Anyone know if Lollipop fixed this issue?

I am running into a problem with the OTA. I have tried to do the update for three days straight with no success. Every time the update stalls at about 20% for HOURS. A single stupid update should not take over twelve hours to complete 30%. Needless to say, this has only added to my disappointment with Android and has me waiting anxiously for the alleged ability to flash Windows 10 on my G3. If that ability never comes, I will probably sell my G3 when the next flagship Lumia comes.

Why is it that on certain apps it changes your home buttons to black when I have it set to white in the settings?

Got my update this morning. Install failed, and now I can't 1) find it for install on the phone or 2) download it again, because the phone says it's up to date.

What the hell.

After update it states I need to update Google Play Services but the download keeps timing out. Any ideas?

Is anyone else having back to back problems with this? Unless I have full bars for reception my text messages wont send (eventually 4g will go to 1x and then MAYBE send however, on average it takes about 5 minutes for one to send), my Wi-Fi is extremely slow (iPhones Wi-Fi works fine), the phone is extremely laggy with only two apps running, I can't text while on Wi-Fi, if I receive a text my data will cut off for about a minute before restoring... Its seriously endless and I'm strongly considering switching back to an iPhone.

Anyone else experiencing such problems?

After update, did you factory reset?

After the update I was having issues with apps taking longer to open. Even pre loaded apps. The play store was very buggy, and it was just a bad experience. Me and my wife were having the same issues. Yes we factory restored both prior and after the update. it was just slow in general. I ended up flashing both phones back to Kit Kat.

No, I will right now though. If not, I'm hoping I can flash back to kit kat. I've spent the last hour trying to install an app from the play store, keep getting an error.

You can flash back to Kit Kat, that is what I had to do.

It took about 3 days for my phone to settle in. Now even the Google sync problems are gone. Very crisp. Some apps are slow but that's the developers fault.

Good to hear i am not alone on this. This update as screwed up my G3, thanks Android. When will they ever get it right?

I waited 2 weeks, and my google sync problems never went away. I factory reset twice without restoring backup, I still had to juggle airplane mode, and wifi. I forgot to do that one day, and missed several calls and work emails. I gave up and flashed it back to Kit Kat. I hope they will fix this, I would like to go back to Lollipop.

IMHO when you factory reset after lollipop OTA you should uncheck restore from backup and manually setup phone and re download apps

Could not agree more. If you can, avoid restoring any kind of factory settings.
