Hi, today I bought a used HTC One m9 after getting tires of the terrible battery life from my Droid Turbo. The M9 is running 5.1 and when I check for updates it says it's up to date yet according to Verizon it seems it should have been updated? Any ideas?

It was released like two months ago. Make sure it is properly activated on Verizon with a SIM card.

According to HTC's site, Verizon doesn't allow HTC to post ROM files. However, you maybe able to use HTC Sync Manager to download the update.

Yep, Sync Manager is the Verizon method.

Does your computer recognize the M9 when it's connected? You may need to uninstall whatever old Android driver you have and let Windows update itself. Just connect it, configure the phone for USB mode and go into Device Manager (devmgmt.msc from the Run prompt), find the device and uninstall the driver, then force a Hardware rescan.

Well my phone just got the update. Weird, I checked it like 4 times earlier and it said software up to date. Checked it again just now and it was there! Thanks guys!
