Verizon message plus, change image viewer?

I hate the default image viewer within message plus. It doesn't show the entire picture, and muddles things with a preview at the bottom of every image you've sent that particular person.

Is there a way to select a different program to view images within text messages?

Depends.. Did it ever prompt you or does it just open within the app? If it doesn't ever prompt it sounds like the app is forcing its way and not looking for another app.
