Verizon phone deals thread

I just tried all three codes: VZWDEAL, TECHBAR, and VERIZON30, and none of them worked. What am i missing here?
Also, I want to trade in a Samsung SCH-i760 and it isn't listed. Nor is the Samsung Fascinate SCH-i500. Seems like a lot of glitches to me. Can I just go to the store and have them upgrade the non-data line and give me the proper trade-in values, and then bring it home to switch it to the unlimited data line?

The promo is that you get a $100 gift card for ANY smartphone. There is no limitation on it. So that should mean as long as it runs Android, iOS or any other smartphone OS, it should qualify.

Don't go to a store - they can't apply the codes. Do it over the phone. Phone reps can. Call and ask for the codes to be applied and ask that the $100 minimum gift card promo be noted on your account.

Then go to a store to get the gift card. If they give you a hassle at the store doing the trade in, call phone CSR while you are in the store. They hate that.

But I thought that the above codes were for a discount off of the selling price of the Note 3. They didn't result in any discount. I didn't think that had anything to do with the phone trade-in thing. I was commenting separately that two phones that I possess were not listed in the trade-in window as options. Does that make sense? BTW, thank you for all of your help to everyone here.

The one code, VZWDEAL, only works on the rose gold GNote3 online, but the phone reps will apply it to any color. It may have expired by now, idk, but if it has expired, then your only hope is to try to get a phone rep to apply it anyhow. If they can disregard the color restrictions, perhaps they can disregard expiration dates.

TECHBAR was working a few days ago when I tried it and someone else tried VERIZON30 and they reported it was working. Perhaps the codes have expired, idk. All you can do if they aren't working now online is call and see if you can get a phone rep to apply the code. Or wait for another deal to come along, but it wouldn't hurt to call and see what you can get a phone rep to do for you.

The codes don't have anything to do with the trade in, but you must sign up for the trade in at the time of purchase. So if you do order by phone, make sure the phone rep signs you up for the trade in or makes a note in your account or whatever they have to do to qualify you for the guaranteed $100 minimum trade in.

I don't think your phone has to be listed as long as it is a smartphone. The promo says ANY smartphone. It doesn't say any of these listed smartphones.

Best Buy will have the Note 3 for $199.99 starting tomorrow. $150.00 with the upgrade gift card.

I just purchased the Note 3 yesterday morning through Best Buy for $299.99.

Thanks for the heads up though. After seeing your post this morning, I called them immediately and they are going to credit me back the $100 difference plus taxes after the phone is received and activated.

My contract is up in 2 weeks and I plan on buying a Note 3 with a contract renewal. I have the option of buying a customer returned phone for a discount but would like to understand my options for a new one. I would prefer a new one purchased from Verizon Corporate. I called Verizon and the Note 3 went back up to $300.00. The advertised $100.00 credit appears to be for a new line of service only and not an upgrade to existing line. ( I was so disappointed the price went up 100 bucks i forgot to ask). Is this correct? Also, I searched for discount codes for the phone and came up empty. I would think with the S5 coming out the Note 3 would at least be discounted. It seems the previous codes noted (no pun intended) have expired. Any help would be appreciated.

That's pretty good - I assume the $50 gift card offer from earlier this year would still be given as well?

Yes, it should

It's a good thing I had trouble order yesterday afternoon, or else I would have missed the promo code.

Would an employee be able to push through the BOGO + 30% discount at the store (assuming I know the guy)? I'm not sure if the system would allow it or not, but I would prefer to give my friend some upgrades if I could.

Buy it online with in store pickup. For the bogo +30%,you would need to have two available upgrades.

In store can do it but should require a manager over ride, which they may or may not do.
