Verizon phone now on Cricket/AT&T network issues

Took my S6 Edge to Cricket from Verizon and now having issues.
Two primary ones are:
- Incoming calls are preceded by a plus (+) sign which prevents a "one touch" call back. Most annoying when it's someone in my contacts. Looked for North American dialing plan, but none found, disabled/enabled International dialing to no effect (Cricket has an International dialing option in the service which I did not or have not subscribe to)
- Unable to receive pictures in MMS. Tried various apps, but so far nothing.

As an FYI, on reboot it I get the Verizon splash screen and receive a message stating SIM card is not from Verizon Wireless
Getting ready to do a factory reset, but thought I'd post questions first.

Im pretty sure Verizon has had the manufacturers put limitations / disable the MMS feature when unlocked. Its been mentioned in other threads with people who have Verizon units and unlock them for ATT/TMO.
They are unable to modify or add the correct APN for MMS.
For best performance find an ATT unit for the Cricket service.

I have a Verizon Galaxy S7 edge and have the same preceding "+" on the inbound caller ID issue.
