Verizon- pie update?

OK, so I should just keep an eye out for it there? I ask because TX Jedi provided a link to a different site. Don't know what might be involved there, but if waiting for the firmware science file would be a less involved process I'd rather wait and do it the 'easy' way.
Thanks

You can use either one my link or jedi

Once you download copy to your SD card

I am referring to the file linked to by Jedi. Move that file to my SD card? Should it be put in the root and renamed to update.zip as the firmware.science file was (that got us to CSAA)? Or do I need to do something else? Thanks.

You dont have to rename it , save to sd card either file you want to use mine or his they are the same .
Your welcome.

You can use the Verizon Upgrade assistant. There is a mac version that I have tested, and it works great. As noted by a previous user, this will pull whatever Verizon has as it's last update. This would be Oreo for the moment. Once Pie is released this would be the current version. It may pay to just wait, use the repair option will then bring you right to date with the version of pie released by Verizon.

Ok can you please give me a step by step tutorial on what to do? I'm not all too familiar with these procedures especially since I'm currently using a macbook. Please and thank you.

OK. Where is yours?

This is the file name from the Jedi link : SS-N960USQU1CSAA-to-U1CSB3-UP.zip

If I use his, do I need to unzip it after moving it to the SD card? (I thought there needs to be a file named 'update.zip' in the SD root... )

Thanks.

Thanks Mustang. I finally was able to see that both your and Jedi's file were the same. Then I was more comfortable without having to rename anything.
It went perfectly, and CSB3 installed without a hitch.
Thanks once again for your support and patience.

I'm gonna stay on CSAA until the OTA from Verizon comes out just to see if it updates without issues. If Android Q doesn't come out first! OK, I'll give it until Friday...

If Verizon goes to CSB3 then it will look for ARL1 so your on CSAA should make the jump to CSB3 but it's up to you.

Okay, I thought that was just a theory. Thanks for the heads up. Your help on this forum is greatly appreciated.

I sideloaded pie from you guys a couple of weeks ago It is working fine. But I dont understand, do I need to download something eles now to keep getting verizon updates or will it just happen. Thanks
