So the Galaxy 10 is coming out tomorrow but is this just something Verizon is announcing? I’m trying to figure out why this would be tied to them releasing Pie. I get why Apple does it with their phones and tablets because Apple and IOS is all 1. But Android has many different carriers and many different phone brands, so what am I missing here?

Just making a comment. I've been on this thread for a while dealing with trying to get pie on my Note. Im just looking to try and save some money

LOL - I must be the only one in the world not in a hurry for the Pie update. Currently using Microsoft Launcher and love the way my phone is setup. Not in any hurry to update.

Even with a great launcher Pie offers other benefits.

Not likely the only one in the world. I think a lot of us just got curious about it so we just installed it ourselves. Just the fact that we are in these forums shows that we have a certain interest. It's not a giant difference. Nothing wrong with waiting. Also nothing wrong with not waiting - and installing it yourself. Bottom line - no big deal either way. Take your time if that's what makes you happy.

I get it. I was just making a general statement. Of course being in a technical forum I expect people to try new things. As a PC builder and enthusiast I do the same.... especially where OS changes and patches come in. That said, where I don't tinker with my phone a lot, I have a different perspective.

Regardless, I was just making a comment, but I do realize where I am

Not only am I not in a hurry, I don't want it. I'm doing everything I can to prevent it.
I'm only in this thread to see if it's dropped yet, to know if my efforts are successful.

Can’t you just turn off the “download updates automatically” switch and then never click on the “download updates manually” link? Seems like an easy solution unless I’m missing something.

Finally got Pie on Verizon, just had to buy a Verizon S10+ to do so. This is ridiculous that it's not out on the Note yet.
