Verizon S8 / S8+ Pre-Order Discussion

My phone says processing, same thing since I ordered it. I haven't received anything from Verizon in regards to a trade in box. Either way, we are one week out! Also, has anyone received anything directly from Samsung like a speaker box? Seen a few articles about this. With that said, I am hoping to be holding the s 8 in LESS than 1 week!

It'll say preparing for shipment once they're getting them ready to ship. Probably Monday.

It's just so frustrating seeing all the people from different carriers getting emails and being charged. Even if the device itself isn't actually shipped yet, at least they are seeing that their orders are going somewhere. We see nothing on our Verizon orders...just processing.

its annoying as hell. we pay WAY MORE than anyone by far for phone service and we are the last to get everything

Knowing Verizon they probably will not ship until Wednesday and we will be lucky to see the phone on Friday. :-\

Like the note 7, they will charge on Sat or Sun; do shipping label on Monday, send to FedEx with future delivery on Tuesday, and then send on Wednesday...Texas delivering faster and first than PA

So, Verizon is weird when it comes to Sim cards between IPhone and Android. It'll fit and it'll work, BUT it does mess with visual voicemail. Verizon makes 2 different sim cards, a Nano NFC which is for all Android phones that use the Nano size and a Nano sim without NFC which is for Iphones.

You can swap it and if you run into voicemail issues, Then I would request a new sim.

I don't have this problem. I bought my iPhone directly from Apple and used my Nano NFC that I was using in my HTC M9 and Icon previously. Though it shouldn't make a difference now that iPhone's have NFC.

I'm wondering if the phone is going to arrive from Samsung with a new SIM card in it.

Idk how I would activate it at that point. I guess call them.

It worked with my iPhone 6s Plus that I'm trading in. I was using it in a HTC One M9 previously. My order says it comes with the SIM. Verizon includes A SIM with all of its smartphones.

I was logged into my Verizon account at 11:50PM and placed my order for the Midnight Black. Now I'm just waiting for my phone. I'll be giving my mom my iPhone 7 Plus ...

I went with Midnight Black as well and for my 7 plus, I'm gonna keep it because I have iOS specific stuff on there like Day One Journal.

Do I just have to swap my SIM card?

It should. The SIM from my old HTC One M9 works in my iPhone 6s Plus.

Also, does Verizon allow me to turn in my iPhone 7 without trading it towards anything?

Don't know. You'll have to ask. If not you can go through Gazelle or similar service an iPhone 7 should fetch a decent price.
