I ask because of the distance you would have to drive to pick it up

My order was all messed up! I decided to go to a store and pay upgrade amount and taxes, which I knew had to be done but 3 reps, THREE, told me I would be billed. Customer service dropped the ball. So I cancelled that order and will be at the Verizon store, AN HOUR AWAY, when they open! Can't trust the phone reps!
I have an iPhone 7 and ordered my s8 plus straight from Samsung website.
Do I just have to swap my SIM card?
Also, does Verizon allow me to turn in my iPhone 7 without trading it towards anything?
If I'm not mistaken iPhone Sim card won't fit samsung, I went samsung to samsung no problem but when I tried 6s plus didn't work verizon said it wouldn't they gave me another one for iphone

Always is that way. Sounds like Verizon is possibly starting Sunday. Question remains, will they deliver right away or will we see a note 7 shipping situation with future delivery dates?Look like T-Mobile is already seeing some action...even Sprint is

Everybody with all carriers were getting their shipping notices early like now, and then they say at the delivery hub with future delivery dates of release date, which here would be next Friday. Created a lot of mad people. What happened with the note 7?

Pretty sure on the note 7, all carriers did that. T-Mobile did get theirs first as usual.Verizon was more known for this. Others like T-Mobile just let them go.

I was saying I hope they don't do what they did with the note 7. I'm well aware of Verizon's way of doing things, been with them for 18 years, LOL.Well yeah -- But if T-Mobile told them a specific date they would have waited. Verizon purposely does this to have it come out on release date so the carrier listens. T-Mobile just hands the package and says "2 day sir" so UPS/FedEx just says "OK" and gets it moving.
So, Verizon is weird when it comes to Sim cards between IPhone and Android. It'll fit and it'll work, BUT it does mess with visual voicemail. Verizon makes 2 different sim cards, a Nano NFC which is for all Android phones that use the Nano size and a Nano sim without NFC which is for Iphones.I have an iPhone 7 and ordered my s8 plus straight from Samsung website.

This is correct. The iphone and Galaxy S8, S6, S7 all take nano sims. They are completely interchangeable.
I switch sims between my Pixel XL and 7+ all the time.

You can swap it and if you run into voicemail issues, Then I would request a new sim.
